French Shako Plate of the 31st Infantry Regiment, brass other ranks shako plate in form of Napoleonic crowned French eagle on shield with white metal numerals ’31’ to the centre. Small fixing holes to the plate. Generally good condition. Collectors label attached to the plate detailing that the regiment was disbanded in 1803-4 due to Cholera after the Sante Dominique campaign.

The tunic has parachute wings on the right sleeve and a Swimmer Canoeist badge on the left lower sleeve. In the pocket is a Swimmer Canoeist Individual record Book detailing the owner’s parachute jumps and SC operations.

Cloth lined interior with Toronto tailors label and inside pocket with another label with inked name of the original owner (now not clear). Good overall condition.

Complete with the original scabbard having matching mounts. Polished straight blade with makers / retailers trademark to the reverse. The blade measures 76cms, overall 95cms. Some wear and patina to the exterior fittings, generally a good untouched example.

Pre-1855 37th (North Hampshire) Regiment of Foot Officers Shoulder Belt Plate, fine copper gilt rectangular back plate with silvered crown over scroll with battle honour ‘MINDEN’, ‘XXXVII’ and lower scroll ‘TOURNAY’ all within a laurel wreath with the bottom having battle honour in scroll of ‘PENINSULA’. Reverse with two hooks and stud fittings. ate Rod Flood Collection.

WW2 British Royal Army Medical Corps Steel Combat Helmet, fine example of a WW1 raw edge brodie helmet which has been re-issued during WW2. The helmet retains nearly all of its original paint finish. Helmet with tri-colour insignia of the Royal Army Medical Corps to the side. 1938 dated liner system to the interior with webbing elasticated chinstrap. Generally good example.

1930’s German Fire Brigade Officers Dress Dagger, Presentation Axe and Bayonet Knot, fine example of the Fire service officials dress dagger worn during the 1930’s period and into the Third Reich era. White metal cross guard with helmet and crossed fire axes to the central cartouche, black leather covered grip with wire binding, plated top pommel. Housed in its leather scabbard with white metal mounts. Fine double edged blade with etched decoration to both sides and early Carl Eickhorn makers trademark. Blade 33 ½ cms, overall 49cms. Leather and bullion wire fire service knot / porteppe in worn condition. German fire brigade axe with the steel axe head having engraved presentation, ‘Anläfslich 20 jähriges tadellosen Dienstzeit’ (On the occasion of 20 years of impeccable service), with wooden haft and nickel silver lower fitting. Complete with the leather cradle holder and hanging strap. Interesting grouping to a fire fighter from the Third Reich period. (3 items)
