Military General Service Medal 1793-1814 to the 67th (South Hampshire) Regiment, with single clasp Barrosa, impressed naming, ‘JOHN KEEFE, 67TH FOOT’, some edge bruises. Born at Ballinrobe, County Mayo, John Keefe enlisted into the 67th Regiment at Guernsey on 5th December 1803. He was discharged aged 43 on 20th November 1821 due to Hepatitis Chronica. John Keefe died aged 74 years on 11th December 1852. 69 medals issued to the 67th Foot, all of which have the single Barrosa clasp. Late Rod Flood collection

Imperial German Model 1889 Prussian Officers Sword, good example of a standard Model 1898 Prussian officers sword with brass hilt having Prussian eagle to the cartouche, relief to the knuckle guard and plain pommel top and partial back strap. Grip retains the original wire binding with Kaiser Wilhelm II monogram.to the centre. Housed in the original steel scabbard with single hanging ring. Polished straight blade with double fuller to the back edge. Makers trademark for Clement & Jung, Solingen. The blade measures 79cms, overall 95cms.

India General Service Medal Suffolk Regiment for the Hazara Campaign in 1888, engraved naming in running script, ‘505 PTE W. LEEKS 1ST BN SUFF R.’. Medal in titled carboard case of issue inscribed with recipients’ details, case in good condition with some damage consistent with its age. James Leeks is confirmed on the medal roll of the 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment for the medal and clasp, the roll notes that he died at Jhansi on 13th September 1889.

LIEUT E.P. MORRIS’. A collectors note with this medal states the recipient is entitled to a Civil C.B.E. but we have been unable to confirm this. There are 3 recipients of medals with this name and rank combination, 2 of which were killed during the Great War.

Imperial German Model 1889 Prussian Officers Sword, fine example with folding Prussian eagle guard, knuckle bow with floral relief, pommel with relief and plain top. Shagreen covered grip with wire binding and gilt metal Wilhelm II cipher to the centre. Housed in a steel parade scabbard with two hanging rings. Partially double edged plain blade with double fuller to the back edge. Blade unmaker marked. The blade measures 78 ½ cms, overall 99 ½ cms. Exterior hilt fittings very ornate and good quality. Scabbard possibly a replacement.

U.S. MODEL 1821 INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD, non-regulation French style w/ ricasso mkd. ‘Horstmann & Sons Philadelphia’, dark leather grip has no wire wrap, the blade has some darkening, the brass guard has a pleasing dark patina, a scarce sword, a metal scabbard, VG.

#3 – Victorian 2nd Afghanistan War Campaign Medal to the 67TH (South Hampshire) Regiment of Foot, (Лот: 1460)
Victorian 2nd Afghanistan War Campaign Medal to the 67TH (South Hampshire) Regiment of Foot, medal with two clasps ‘Charasia’ and ‘Kabul’, engraved naming, ’40B/608 LCE CORPL. J. JAGGERS, 67TH FOOT’.18 year old Joseph Jaggers, originally from St Martins, Leicester enlisted on the 14th April 1864. He served for a total of 20 years 146 days, 19 of which were spent in India, he married Sarah Irwin in Rangoon on 15th July 1872, she is shown as being with the regiment but sadly a later alteration to his service record shows that she had died. Corporal Jaggers was arrested and tried by Regimental Court Martial on 11 May 1883 the charge being ‘Leaving his Guard without orders’ on being found guilty he was reduced to Private. He was discharged as unfit for further duty due to chronic dysentery on 9th September 1884. Medal and both clasps are confirmed on the roll and on his service record.Late Rod Flood collection
