Royal Air Force Officers Service Dress Uniform of Flight Lieutenant Stanley Joseph Bevan B.E.M, Awarded the British Empire Medal for Secret Radar Services, good example of a post 1953 RAF officers four pocket service dress tunic with EIIR officers tunic buttons, medal ribbons to the breast for British Empire Medal, WW2 service, General Service Medal and 1953 Coronation medal. Complete with the fixed waist belt. Rank lace to the cuffs. Lined interior and interior pocket with tailors label having typed name of the original owner. Accompanying the tunic is the original RAF EIIR period officers service dress peaked cap with bullion officers cap badge. Both remain in good condition and being sold by direct family descent. areer history provided by the family – Born on the 7th November 1920, enlisted as an Airman in the RAF on the 20th October 1939 rising to the rank of Sgt with 38 Squadron in Italy and Greece by the end of WW2. Between 1951 – 1954 with the Far East Flying Boat Wing in Singapore on Sunderland Flying Boats. From 1955 – 1960 , based at RAF Watton – secret Signals Establishment. Awarded the British Empire Medal ( BEM) for Radar services. Commission in Dec 1961 and moved to Farnborough as an Electronic Counter Measures/Radar Specialist eventually developing the Canberra T17. Retirement from the RAF in August 1967 as a Flt Lt.

WW2 RAF Mk VIII Flying Goggles, good near mint conition pair of the Mk VIII flying goggles issued to RAF aircrews in the later stages of WW2. The goggles retain nearly all of the original blue grey paint to the metal frames, brown leather surrounds remain in good condition. Original cloth strap attached. Housed in the original card box with Anti-Dimming cleaning tin and spare lenses. Box with printed GOGGLES Mk VIII and stores ref: 22c/930.

Housed in the blue grey painted wooden storage box with Air Ministry stores reference details stencilled to the lid. Some damage to lid case, one fixing clip partly missing.

Measures 79 x 66 ½ cms.
