Major Eugen Selhorst was a highly decorated Major of the German Wehrmacht. He was awarded the German Cross in gold on 8.6.1942 as an Oberleutnant with II./Infanterie-Regiment 186 and the Knight’s Cross on 6.10.1942 serving as the leader of the I./Infanterie-Regiment 186.Two tunics, photos and documents were coming from the family about 10 years ago. His medals as well as other uniform items were still at the family at this time.
