Grouping to Oberleutnant Walter Brandt, Knight’s Cross winner on 24. March 1943 as Flugzeugführer of the I./Jagdgeschwader 77. He was also awarded the German Cross in Gold and Luftwaffe Honor Goblet. Oberleutnant Brandt flew a total of 527 sorties during WWII and achieved 57 aerial victories.
