#74-1336 – 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class Knight’s cross adaptation (Лот: 7923)
1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class adapted for field carry as a Knight’s Cross. The original small ring has been removed from the frame. Two rings have been added on the frame to keep a third ring tightly in place. Three-part construction. Magnetic iron core with original factory paint, including original ribbon. The frame has opened up at the 12 o’clock arm. The condition of the cross indicates extensive field carry, which was never the case with normal Iron Crosses second class, unless they were carried at the neck as a Knight’s Cross
