#79-1493 – General Assault Badge 3rd Grade ’50’ ‘JFS’ (Лот: 12651)
Mid to late war Grade III (50) General Assault Badge. Manufactured by the Gablonz-based maker Josef Feis and correctly maker-marked with the maker’s logo. Rather than suffering from wear, it appears like this GAB suffered from very bad storage resulting in finish loss and zinc oxidation. Apart from these storage problems a very rare combat award in factory original condition

The German Panzer Assault Badge of WW II, 2021, Philippe De Bock, pages 391-392)

#79-1496 – Tank Assault Badge in Silver ‘Deumer’ (Лот: 12654)
Early war hollow Tombac/Buntmztall made Panzer Assault Badge in Silver. Unmarked but safely attributed to the Lüdenscheid-based maker Wilhelm Deumer. So-called ‘cut-out grass’ variant that saw its grass area removed by its recipient. What is left is a mushroom-shaped piece of metal that allowed the award to retain its original catch. Like most of these PAB’s it shows obvious races of heavy wear and finish loss but otherwise survived in factory original condition. A great example of a genuine combat-worn ‘cut-out grass’ PAB and a highlight in any PAB collection
