Edward VII Kings South Africa Medal to a Recipient in the Royal Army Medical Corps who Served from the 1898 Sudan Campaign Through to the First World War, Kings South Africa medal with 2 clasps, South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902, ‘10830 CORPL: A. DAVIDSON. R.A.M.C.’ edal and both clasps confirmed on the medal roll, also entitled to the Queens South Africa medal with 3 clasps and the Khedive’s Sudan medal 1896-1908 with the Khartoum clasp. In the Great War he served in France from 23rd August 1914 and was commissioned on 20th August 1916.

Promoted to Lieutenant with seniority 1st May 1963 (London Gazette 8th February 1963) and was placed on the retire list at his own request on 19th June 1969 (London Gazette 1st July 1969).

WW2 German Army Officers Miniature Dress Dagger by Alcoso, Solingen, fine example of a three quarter size miniature dress dagger of the German army with orange celluloid grip, pommel and eagle cross guard. Housed in the original scabbard with two hanging ring bands and one hanging ring. Double edged polished blade with makers trademark to the reverse. Obverse of the blade etched with retailers details ‘HERMANN THIES LÜNEBURG’. Blade 14 ¾ cms, overall 24cms.

Made from gilded silver and enamel. Full patina. With monogram shield ‘F.I.’ on the avers and ‘M.T.’ on the reverse in gold and enamel dating it to be the model after 1806. Fantastic condition with original neck ribbon. The decoration with the left looking eagle is from the end of the 19th century and made by Rothe in Vienna
