Early hollow Tombak/Buntmetall Bronze grade Panzer Assault Badge. Unmarked but safely attributed to the Markneukirchen-based maker Karl Wurster. On offer is a ‘die 2’ so-called organized grass pattern variant. The badge shows clear traces of wear but remains in untouched condition with a lovely patina build-up. Early high-quality PAB. (Cf. Mid-war solid zinc Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Properly marked A.S. in the left track for its maker Adolf Scholze. Early Buntmetall made Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge. Manufactured by the Berlin-based maker IMME & Sohn and properly marked with the maker’s fully spelled maker mark. The award survived in stunning condition with almost all finish on both the wreath and eagle perfectly intact. A lovely specimen of an early para badge
