Late-war solid zinc Infantry Assault Badge in Silver. Properly marked ‘FZZS’ in circle for the Stuttgart-based maker F. Zimmermann. The badge remains in very good condition but over time lost its entire silver top finish apart from what is left on the set-up hardware

Mid to late war hollow zinc Infantry Assault Badge in Silver. An uncommon variant made by JFS and properly marked in the reverse of the K98. Most of the low-quality finish is lost but otherwise in good condition. Not an easy variant to find and much more rare than the commonly encountered solid zinc JFS IAB variants

Mid-war Solid zinc Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze. Manufactured by the Vienna-based company Rudolf Souval and properly marked with the maker’s small maker mark R.S. The IAB had a hard life and features some zinc corrosion, damage in the bayonet area, and heavy finish loss

Early to mid-war solid Tombak General Assault Badge. Properly maker marked with K. Wurster’s small maker mark ‘w’ to the left of the hinge. Very desirable and rare GAB and the only one of its kind that was made out of solid Tombak/Buntmetall. overall in very good condition. Clear traces of wear in some areas exposing the gold-colored base metal

Early hollow tombak made General Assault Badge. Unmarked but safely attributed to the Pforzheim-based maker O. Schickle. Overall in very good condition with light traces of wear and a lovely untouched patina. Featuring the earliest round wire catch with a flattened base

Mid-war solid zinc Panzer Assault Badge in Silver. Unmarked but safely attributed to the Lüdenscheid based maker Steinhauer & Lück. The earliest of the zinc-produced S&L PABs featuring the commonly encountered head flaw. (cf. The Panzer Assault Badge of WW III, 2021, Ph. De Bock, pages 167-168)

Mid-war solid zinc Panzer Assault Badge in Silver. So-called Vienna design PAB manufactured by the Gablonz-based maker Rudolf Richter. Properly marked on the with the maker’s logo R.R.S. The PAB had a hard life, most finish is gone and the catch was replaced.(c.f. The German Panzer Assault badge of WW II, Philippe De Bock, revised edition 2021, Pages 653-654)

#73-1323 – Tank Assault Badge 2nd Class ’25’ in Silver ‘JFS’ (Лот: 6919)
Mid to late war solid zinc grade II Panzer Assault Badge in Silver. Made by the Gablonz-based company J. Feix and properly marked with the maker’s logo ‘JFS’ on the reverse of the award. The award had a hard life and apart from heavy finish loss on the Panzer application shows clear traces of zinc rot. Accompanied by an old jeweler’s case that is not linked to the award. (cf. #73-1324 – Tank Assault Badge 3rd Class ’50’ in Silver ‘G.B.’ (Лот: 6920)
Late-war hollow zinc grade III Panzer Assault Badge in Silver. Manufactured by G. Brehmer from Markneukirchen and properly maker-marked G.B. on the Pnzer’s reverse. Earlier production variant still featuring the third rivet to fixate the number shield. Some traces of bad storage and finish loss but otherwise in good condition with no repairs or damage. (cf.
