Good Silver Mounted Presentation Kukri of the Royal Gurkha Rifles Field Force, 1941, blade of conventional form 32cms, polished horn grip with soft metal inlay, nickel pommel cap engraved Lt. Col. N. Macdonald, in its silver mounted sheath, locket engraved PRESENTED BY CO’S & N.COS. 2/5TH R.G.R.F.F 1941, pierced and embossed in high relief with flowering foliage including Durgha astride half tiger half British lion, each with gilt faces, velvet covered sheath the top with pockets containing chuk-muk and companion knife. Fine condition.

#1034 – Rare WW2 British Special Operations Executive (S.O.E) Assassination Sleeve Dagger (Лот: 9626)
Rare WW2 British Special Operations Executive (S.O.E) Assassination Sleeve Dagger, all steel one piece dagger with triangular blade. Correctly un-marked. The grip section with the original rope binding which remains tight, with the wrist strap. Complete with its original brown leather scabbard with leather strap attachment piece to the top of the scabbard. The blade measures 9 ¾ cms, overall 18 ¼ cms. Some surface rusting to the blade but generally an excellent example of an extremely rare original dagger designed for the S.O.E agents.These daggers were designed to be carried by S.O.E agents who were dropped behind enemy lines as they could be concealed in a sleeve and easily accessed for close hand to hand combat or to take out an enemy sentry quickly. As with most items issued to the SOE they were not marked with any makers stamps in-case of capture.

WW2 British 1st Pattern Fairbairn Sykes (F.S) Commando Knife by Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd, good used example of the desirable 1st pattern commando knife, having nickel plated knurled grip and top nut. ‘S’ type nickel plated guard. Housed in its original leather scabbard with nickel plated lower chape. Leather leg tabs absent but the belt loop still has the securing strap with press button snap. Double edged blade etched with Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd London makers mark and the reverse ‘THE F-S FIGHTING KNIFE’. Blade shows some wear with the makers mark and FS etchings rubbed. Blade measures 16 ½ cms, overall 31 ¼ cms.

Housed in a riveted leather scabbard which has serial ‘389313’ stamped and tied to the scabbard is a identity disc stamped ‘PARSONS C – C E – 389313’. Double edged blade, measuring 16 ½ cms, overall 30 ½ cms.

Scarce Wilkinson Sword Etched Blade 3rd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes (F.S) Commando Knife, well worn example of a 3rd pattern commando knife with black painted one piece ribbed grip and unmarked oval cross guard. Double edged blade with Wilkinson Sword makers mark to one side and ‘THE F.S. FIGHTING KNIFE’ to the other. Blade is also etched to the centre with a panel bearing the name ‘LT COL. M STEFFEN’. Blade shows wear, no scabbard. Blade length 17cms, overall 29cms. ieutenant Colonel M Steffen, is possibly served as part of the US armed forces. Worthy of further research. imilar example shown on page 121 of ‘The Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife and Other Commando Knives’ by Ron Flook.
