1796 Pattern Cavalry Officers Sword, regulation blade etched blued and gilt for first 26cms with crowned GR, Royal Arms, cavalry officer on rearing horse, and martial trophy, back edge etched H Osborne’s Warranted, regulation hilt with silver wire bound leather covered grip, in its iron scabbard engraved Henry Osborne Sword Cutler Bordesley Near Birmingham (indistinct) within oval, twin suspension rings. Generally good condition, cleaned overall, blade probably re-seated, scabbard repaired.

Georgian Naval Officers Sword c.1820, pipe back blade 82cms, brass stirrup hilt with traces of gilding, lion’s head pommel, langet with crowned fouled anchor in low relief, wire bound black fish skin grip with later bullion naval officer’s dress knot, in its brass mounted leather scabbard with a later chape. Good condition, knuckle bow repaired, blade heavily refinished and polished bright.

French Senior Cavalry Officers Sabre, curved single edge blade 77cms etched with a castle within shield above laurel wreath below close helmet, together with trophies of arms, and scrolling foliage, brass stirrup hilt cast with loin’s head pommel, and trophies on one side of the guard, chequered ebonised grip, in its brass scabbard. Good condition, knuckle bow does not quite fit into pommel.

Good condition, blade retain approx. 70% blued and gilt decoration, locket well restored, leather limp.

Good condition, blade retains approx. 40% blued and gilt decoration, hilt approx. 75% gilding, scabbard mounts approx. 40% gilding, leather consolidated.

Good condition, scabbard cleaned bright leaving a little pitting.
