WW2 German Luftwaffe Honour Goblet and Document Grouping to Oberleutnant Karl Günter Näder, fine Alpaka constructed goblet with the ‘Alpaka’ marking inside of the foot. Maker marked ‘Joh. Wagner & Sohn’. Very good condition without dents or damage. Very good looking overall patina. The grouping contains all award documents of Näder: Czech annexation medal class, Luftwaffe 4 year service medal, Iron cross 2nd class for the Polish campaign (16.9.1939!), Iron cross 1st class for the Bitzkrieg 2.6.1940, combined pilot observer badge, flight clasp in silver & gold, promotion documents, German cross in gold award document 2.12.1942, Honour Goblet award document with honour list ‘Ehrenliste’; several photos, one of Günter with German cross in wear. Death notice and writings 4.9.1943 Näder was KIA and posthumously promoted to Oberleutnant. Very large and complete group of a brave bomber pilot who flew on all major fronts in Europe! Oberleutnant Näder was part of Kampfgeschwader 2 ‘K.G.2’ which mainly operated out of Holland attacking ships in the Channel. K.G.2 was also responsible for bombing several cities during the Battle of Britain.
