#469 – Rare Third Reich D.L.V (Deutsche Luftsportverband) Peaked Cap (Лот: 10535)
Rare Third Reich D.L.V (Deutsche Luftsportverband) Peaked Cap, superb example of an enlisted ranks cap for the German air sports association (Deutsche Luftsportverband) known as the D.L.V, pre-runner to the German Luftwaffe. The cap is of blue grey wool with light blue piping to the crown and bordering the ribbed black central band. Cap has early pattern short winged cap eagle and enamelled winged propeller emblem of the organization below. Cap with its original patent chinstrap and plain domed buttons. Near mint condition interior of the cap with orange cloth lining with un-marked celluloid diamond. Stamped to the interior is unit marking, ‘Eigentum DLV Landesgruppe 4’. Tan leather sweatband to the interior of the cap. Overall an excellent example of a very rare to find peaked cap.

WW2 German Luftwaffe Flak NCO’s Peaked Cap, near mint condition example of a Luftwaffe NCO’s / other ranks peaked cap, constructed from fine Luftwaffe blue / grey cloth with red piping to the crown and bordering the central mohair band. Aluminium cap eagle and winged cockade. Patent chinstrap with two plain domed side buttons. Interior with tan leather sweatband and brown cloth lining having celluloid makers diamond with makers details of Franz Ritter and date 1939. Overall a very good example of a Luftwaffe flak cap.

Manufactured to fit the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield No.1 series Infantry Rifles used during WWI and WWII.The are very basic in appearance and are not of the high quality stock of previously manufactured patterns. The hilt incorporates a very basic steel ‘bird’s head’ pommel without oil hole, push-button/internal-spring latch, steel crossguard. the grips are of wood and are held in place by two screw/nut assemblies. The blade is a single-edge type, single fullered (both sides) and is usually found with the ricasso portion – if not the entire blade – blued. Various markings

#0472 – French Model 1866 ‘Chassepot’ Yataghan Sword Bayonet (Лот: 5694)
This is the most widely adapted of all the sword bayonets. Many countries – including the United States, Egypt, Belgium, and Argentina – have manufactured or used very similar bayonets. The French model was designed to fit on the French Model 1866 Chassepot Rifled Infantry Musket (the musket was revolutionary in itself). It was manufactured from 1866 to about 1874 and was replaced by the French Model 1874 ‘Gras’ Bayonet.This bayonet is brass-hilted with a spring steel latching arrangement on the right side. The crossguard is iron (steel) and has a screw-type tightening arrangement on the muzzle-ring. The lower quillon is a hooked ‘blade-breaker’ type.The blade is steel, single-edged, fullered (both sides), with a re-curved or ‘yataghan-shape.’The blade is marked on the back-edge (opposite the cutting edge) with the arsenal, month, and year of manufacture; this is done in engraved cursive fashion.
