The 25.5 cm long blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to each side of the blade, with no evidence of sharpening, good spear point, with blade being in generally very good condition overall with much of the original blued finish. Ricasso stamped 77302 b as well as date 40 (1940) to spine. Standard metal scabbard with most of the protective blue brown finish, with matching numbers. Minor rust besides one rust spot on scabbard

The medal is complete with the ribbon loop and full length ribbon. This maker made these awards in late 1945 and into the post war years and were often sold to allied soldiers to take home as war souvenirs. Ideal space fillers for collectors.
