The medal remains in very good condition with minor signs of age. Comes in its original dark red / maroon case of issue with gilded national eagle on the lid.

#386 – WW1 German Trench Body Armour (Sappenpanzer) (Лот: 6289)
Ставки принимаются через менеджераWW1 German Trench Body Armour (Sappenpanzer), good example of a 1st pattern 1st type trench body armour ‘Sappenpanzer’ with the high neck. Complete with the three lower plates. Set is in untouched condition with much of the original field grey paint finish remaining. The armour has the original straps and horsehair pads between the lower plates. A rusting to the plates but this is all part of the character. Said to have been worn by snipers in forward positions and machine gunners in stationary positions.

Helmet has the leather goggle securing straps. Interior with chamois lining with remains of ink stampings. Helmet is accompanied by a original WW2 1945 dated H-Type Oxygen mask. Set shows some service wear with a small area of damage to the leather where the wiring loom connects to the earphone wires, but still displays well. Wartime H-Type masks are becoming very hard to find.

Helmet is accompanied by a Post WW2 (1953) dated H-Type Oxygen mask with the original rubber tube and metal crocodile clip to the bottom. Set shows some service wear but still displays well.
