Rare Hand Signed Document from SS-Obergruppenfuhrer Reinhard Heydrich to Generalmajor der Polizei Heinrich Müller, this confirmation letter from January 1941 confirms the privileges to Müller within the SD of the Berlin District. Reinhard Heydrich was one of the most feared man in the Third Reich, even Adolf Hitler called him ‘The Man with the Iron Heart’. Heydrich was the Deputy Protector of Bohemia and Moravia and rose to the SS rank of SS-Obergruppenfuhrer before he died from blood poisoning after an assassination attempt on him by Czech and Slovak agents as part of the S.O.E (Special Operations Executive) on 4th June 1942. Heydrich was greatly responsible for many of the atrocities carried out against civilians and military targets in occupied Europe, especially in Czechoslovakia, gaining the nickname ‘The Butcher of Prague’.
