Imperial German Saxon Reserve Other Ranks Pickelhaube, fine example of a black leather other ranks pickelhaube with brass and white metal Saxon Reserve helmet plate to the centre. Brass front trim, rear spine and circular spike base with domed rivets and other ranks spike. Saxon pattern non-serrated edged cockades and leather chinstrap. Interior of the helmet retains the original leather liner system. Ink stamped to the inside ‘B.D.III 1916’. Some crazing lines to the shell but otherwise a very good example.

Housed in the original scabbard with nearly all the original black finish. Near mint condition blade with much of the original polish finish. Makers mark under the langet. 30′ blade.

Royal Artillery Bandsman Tunic, dark navy blue wool tunic with white frogging decoration to the front, cuffs and to the collar. White metal buttons to the shoulders and white metal fused grenades to the shoulder boards. Hook fixings to the front of the tunic. Black cloth lining to the interior with the original paper label to the lower section. Some moth tracking and small holes but still a scarce tunic.

THIRD REICH PROPOSAL FOR APPOINTMENT DOCUMENT WITH ORIGINAL INK ADOLF HITLER SIGNATURE, fine example of the official proposal document for Dr Veit Teinzer dated 27 Juli 1944, the lower section of the document with ink stamps for the Fuhrer Headquarters and has an original ink signature of Adolf Hitler. The document is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from specialist Don Boyle.

All formerly from the collection of the late Araminta, Lady Aldington of Kent including four Malta Militia buttons mounted on a card and two 48th Highlanders buttons attached to a letter to Lady Aldington dated 26th November 1964 from the Agent General for Ontario concerning obtaining a landau for the Canadian Government. Cruciform spike base with officers pattern securing stars, Bavarian pattern officers spike. Interior with wide tan leather sweatband and officers cloth lining. The helmet remains in very good overall condition and is a classic Bavarian officers helmet.

RARE THIRD REICH PERSONALISED SS OFFICERS SWORD, fine untouched example of an early nickel silver SS officers sword with the top pommel knot being engraved with the original owners initials. SS device mounted to the grip, original wire binding to the grip. Housed in its original scabbard with the top scabbard mount being stamped with SS acceptance runes. Polished straight blade with Peter Daniel Krebs makers mark. Blade 31 ½ ‘.

Hampshire Yeomanry (Carabiniers) Full Dress Uniform of Major F D E Baring, The Right Honourable The Lord Ashburton, fine full dress uniform in dark blue cloth, white collar, cuffs with heavily bullion embroidered cuffs and lace to the collar. Officers knotted shoulder boards with bullion rank crowns. Gilt metal Victorian crowned regimental tunic buttons. Interior with padded quilted lining which shows some wear. Interior with tailors label having inked name. Accompanied by matching officers trousers. Set remains in generally good condition. Frances Denzil Edward Baring succeeded to the title ofBaron Ashburton, of Ashburton, Devon, on 18 July 1889 and took his seat in theHouse of Lords. He was an officer in theHampshire Yeomanry(Carabiniers), where he was appointed aLieutenanton 17 August 1901, promoted toCaptainon 6 December 1902, and ended asMajor. In 1891, Baring was appointed to be aDeputy Lieutenantof the County of Southampton. One of Britain’s foremost yachtsmen, Lord Ashburton died of a heart attack aboard the RMS Queen Mary on 27 March 1938. Late Rod Flood collection.
