Rare Third Reich NSKK Marine Officers Chained Dress Dagger, super and rare example of a later type NSKK marine leaders (NSKK-Kraftbooteinheiten) dress dagger. Brown wooden grip with aluminium eagle and enamel SA device emblem to the grip. Exterior fittings and scabbard fittings with the later high copper content finish which gives the fittings a copper effect finish. Full length hanging chains with working clip fitting. Reverse of the chains are stamped with ‘MUSTERSCHUTZ NSKK-KORPSFUHRUNG’ and RZM M5/8. The blade is a standard type with motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’. No makers trademark to the reverse. The blade has some staining and scuffs from the scabbard runners. The blade 22cms, overall 38cms. Some light scuffs to the scabbard and general patina to the exterior of the dagger but still a good example of a very rare dress dagger.

#37 – Queens South Africa Medal to the Royal Army Medical Corps (Лот: 8630)
Queens South Africa Medal to the Royal Army Medical Corps, medal with 2 clasps, Cape Colony and Orange Free State, impressed naming, ‘5987 PTE. H. ANDREWS R.A.M.C.’ 18-year-old Henry Andrews attested for the Army Hospital Corps at Aldershot on 29th May 1884. He transferred to the Reserve and was discharged on 28th May 1896. He was recalled for Army service on 26th December 1899 under the terms of the Special Army Order of 20th December 1899. He served in South Africa from 27th January 1900 until 26th September 1900 and was finally discharged unfit for further service on 7th January 1901. He appears on the medal roll for No.5 Stationary Hospital where he is confirmed as entitled to the Queens medal with the 2 clasps.

Rare Georgian Infantry Grenadier Fur Cap Plate 1770-85, centre a Royal Crest with ‘GR’ cypher and simple ornamental design, a scroll with motto ‘Nec Aspera Terrent’. Some wear to the finish and some rusting to the reverse. Generally good condition of an early plate, the type worn in the American revolutionary war.

Great War 1914-15 Star Medal Trio to a Recipient in the 11th Battalion Hampshire Regiment who was Discharged Due to Wounds, 1914-15 Star Medal, British War and Victory Medals, ‘11467 PTE. G.J. HOCKHAM HAMPS. R.’ George James Hockham enlisted on 14th September 1914 and served in France from 19th December 1915. He was discharged as unfit for further service due to wounds on 26th September 1918 aged 24 and issued with a Silver War Badge.

WW1 American Officers Medal and Paperwork Grouping of 2nd Lieutenant Thomas C Chalmers 26th Yankee Division, good set consisting of his allied victory medal with four battle bars, metal insignia, cloth divisional patch, divisional medal, photographs and complete service history of 2nd Lieutenant Thomas C Chalmers who served with the US 26th (Yankee) Division. A railwayman serving with the National Guard, he landed in France on 18 October 1917. He was commissioned into the US 101st Field Artillery in August 1918. The collection also includes his birth certificate 1888 and death certificate 1947, and a captured German map of the St Mihiel area.

Great War Military Medal to the Tank Corps, replacement issue Military Medal GV, named in a later style ‘92275 PTE. A. E. COOK TANK CORPS’, with a Royal Tank Regiment cap badge converted to a pinback badge. Military medal, London Gazette 24th January 1919 – 92275 Pte. Cook, A. E., 5th Bn. (Plaistow) – Recommendation – For gallantry and initiative near Domart, August 8, 1918. After the Officer and N.C.O. had been wounded, Pte Cook took command of the tank, and continued to command it throughout the day. He reached all his objectives, and by his initiative and courage rendered most valuable assistance to the infantry. Albert Edward Cook initially served with East Kent Regiment and later transferred to the Tank Corps. He Died on 11th May 1934 and his index card shows that his campaign medals were returned to the Medal Office on 28th May 1934 and these were subsequently reissued in August of the same year.

Third Reich SS (Schutzstaffel) Officers Chained Dress Dagger with Dedication to the Blade, fine untouched example of an early SS officers dress dagger with the original eagle and enamel SS runes emblem. The scabbard with type 2 chains has some light wear. SS acceptance stamp to the reverse of the chains. Attached to the grip is an original but worn officers dress portepee / knot. Some light denting to the bottom chape. Double edged blade with motto ‘Meine Ehre heist Treue’ and the reverse has a two line engraved dedication, ‘In Kameradschaft Stab R.3 u Führer d Stürme’. The blade measures 22cms, overall 37cms. Some wear to the blade and exterior fittings but generally a good untouched example with an original engraved dedication to the blade.

King George’s Yercaud Volunteers (?) Fine Quality Badge in cast silver coloured metal (4.5 x 4.0cm), two loop fasteners. The Yercaud Rifle Volunteers were formed in 1886 and probably became part of the South Indian Railway Battalion in 1917 (1184-1920). The Royal title was presumably bestowed on the unit in this late period.
