Centre in the form of Maltese cross with rays from the arms of the cross and the centre having Kent horse within diamond. Reverse with three screw post fittings to the reverse. Generally good condition.

Great War 1915 Died of Wounds 1914-15 Star Medal Trio to the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, 1914-15 Star medal, British War and Victory medals, ‘23322 PTE. P.W. TUCKER P.P.C.L.I.’ Born in London on 23rd August 1892, 22 year old Percy Tucker was living in Sherbrooke, Quebec when he attested for service at Valcartier Camp on 25th September 1915. He landed at Plymouth on 16th October 1914. Having completed his training on Salisbury Plain he landed at Rouen on 16th February 1915. He died of wounds from a GSW to the left thigh at No. 7 Casualty Clearing Station on 21st August 1915 and now rests in an identified grave in Merville Communal Cemetery. His medals issued to his brother living in Vauxhall, London.

#41 – Rare Third Reich SS (Schutzstaffel) Heinrich Himmler Dedication Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen (Лот: 7230)
Rare Third Reich SS (Schutzstaffel) Heinrich Himmler Dedication Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, good untouched example of the rare SS Himmler honour dagger, being a text book early pattern dress dagger with the ebony grip having eagle and enamel SS emblem. The lower guard is stamped with the control workplace number ‘0’. Housed in the original early anodised scabbard which is fitted with a black leather vertical dagger hanger and long belt loop strap. Double edged blade with standard motto ‘Meine Ehre heist Treue’ and the reverse with the early small oval Carl Eickhorn trademark. The reverse of the blade has the full Heinrich Himmler honour dedication ‘In herzlicher Kameradschaft Heinrich Himmler’ (In heartfelt comradeship Heinrich Himmler). The blade shows some wear and has some surface staining. The blade measures 22cms, overall 37 ½ cms. Generally a good untouched as found example of a very rare and desirable SS mans dress dagger. The Himmler inscription daggers were instituted in 1934 and were originally designated to commemorate members of the SS who took part in the Night of the Long Knives, where SA leader Ernst Röhm and 14 other high ranking SA officials were removed from power. Although originally an order was placed with the firm, Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, who is the only maker of this type of dagger, it is estimated that about 2,500 were produced. It is believed that these daggers were also issued to SS members who showed high loyalty to Heinrich Himmler.

A Nice Queens South Africa Medal to a Long Serving Officer in the Royal Army Medical Corps, Queens South Africa medal with 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal and Wittebergen, engraved naming, ‘MAJOR J.W. JEROME R.A.M.C.’John William Jerome was born in Colaba , Bombay on 11th November 1856. Educated at King’s College he took the diplomas of M.R.C.S. Eng and L.S.A. in 1880 and joined the Army Medical Services as a Surgeon in 1882. Promoted to Surgeon-Major in 1894 he was made Lieutenant-Colonel in February 1902 and retired on 15th October 1902. He died in Norwood, London on 9th September 1912. Medal and all 3 clasps confirmed on the medal roll.

Scarce 21st (Empress of India’s) Lancers Officers Lance Cap Plate 1899-1901, fine example of a rayed lance cap plate with silvered overlay in form of Imperial crowned circlet with regimental details and VRI to centre, set upon crossed lances, lower scroll with ‘KHARTOUM’ battle honour and then lower scroll with ‘EMPRESS OF INDIA’S’. Small holes to the edge for fixing to lance helmet.

R.’ With damaged issue box for British war and Victory medals and a 5th Aug-22nd Nov 1914 clasp for a 1914 Star medal. George Fountain landed in France on 27th July 1915, later he transferred to the Labour Corps (156438) and was discharged to Class Z Army Reserve on 27th March 1919.

Third Reich SS (Schutzstaffel) Dress Dagger by Gottleib Hammesfahr, Solingen Foche with Dedication to Blade, fine example of a model 33 SS enlisted mans dagger with eagle and enamel SS runes to the grip. Lower cross guard with ‘I’ district stamp. Both the top and lower grip mounts are stamped with a number ‘2’. Housed in the early anodised scabbard. Double edged blade with much of the blackening to the motto ‘Meine Ehre heist Treue’ and the reverse side with the makers trademark. The blade has an engraved unit dedication to the reverse, ‘In treuer Kameradschaft Sturm 4/I/1’. The blade measures 22cms, overall 36 ½ cms.

Queens South Africa Medal to Recipient in the Royal Army Medical Corps who also Served in the Imperial Light Horse, Queens South Africa medal with 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal, impressed naming, ‘14200 PTE. S.H. ROWSON, R.A.M.C.’, some edge knocks to initials of name. amuel Hammond Rowson was a 21-year-old Chemist from Campbeltown, Argyllshire when he attested on 25th May 1900, he was specifically enlisted as a compounder of medicines. He only served for a total of 1 year and 253 days ending on 1st February 1902 on termination of his period of engagement. The medal and 3 clasps are confirmed on the medal roll. On 20th May 1902 he commenced his service in The Imperial Light Horse (#3302) which ended 11 days later on 31st May 1902 during this time he qualified for the Kings South Africa medal with a single clasp, South Africa 1902.
