#75-0285 – Waffen-SS M40 helmet double decal with sand paint – Q64 (Лот: 8307)
Fantastic Waffen-SS M40 helmet issued with both decals applied after a sand paint finish was painted over the original factory field grey paint. There are a few paint losses and minor marks of rust coming through, but the outer finish is really shows good field wear. The tunic decal seems to have been left out.The Swaztika decal is about 95% present where the SS Runes decal is closer to 65% present. The paint on the inside is fresh showing the original field grey color. The lining shows minor signs of wear and and is quite supple. It is stamped size ’56’ stamped and still holds the original cord. The inside of the liner shows a 57 stamp along with an RBN number.Marked ‘Q64’ marker and size marked to the reverse of the shell

#75-0286 – Waffen-SS M42 double decal helmet – hkp66 (Лот: 8308)
A very rare Waffen-SS M42 helmet issued with two decals. According to our consignor, it was taken from the Gestapo headquarters at Odense, Denmark, in 1945. While there were no M42 helmets issued with two decals in general, the Gestapo would have most likely ordered some helmets with two decals for guards or other armoured personnel in uniform.Excellent M42 helmet with original ‘rough’ fieldgrey factory paint. Small bits are missing. The paint is about 90-95%. Both decals perfectly matching the condition. The swastika decal is also about 90%. The SS decal, however, looks to have been ‘denazified’ by removing some large bits to hide its SS origin. The lining is size ’58’ stamped and definitely originally attached to this helmet. The rivets holding the inner ring are still flag. The chin strap is in very nice condition as well and comes with a 1942 dated maker’s mark
