    German M16 helmet. Generally, a WW1 period design, this type helmet was occasionally re-issued to German troops after 1935. Both, Heer and Luftwaffe M16 helmets are known.M16 helmet shell with field grey sand paint covering nearly 100% of the shell. The shell was painted after 1935. The inside shows the earlier period field grey pain.Decal: The eagle decal is about 95% obviously attached several years after the original manufactureRing: Inner ring from metal. Attached with WWII era rivets.Lining: Very soft leather but definitley not original to the helmet.Markings: 64 marked to the shell

Signs of wear but unoiled. Inside and out this finish is really clean.Decals: Both are very crisp. The eagle decal is 95% present. The national decal is about 95%.Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft. Original cord with 59 size stamp present on the inside. The prongs appear to not have been removed

    Amazing opportunity to purchase a beautifully preserved single decal M35 helmet owned by Knights Cross wearer Dr Major Hans Gidion with the helmet being offered for the first time for sale and originally came of his family. This helmet is a clean M35 helmet with a field grey sand pain on the inside and outside. The paint is about 90% present with light steel patina showing where the paint is missing. There is a national eagle decal present at about 85%.

Surface rust present but no signs of cleaning or restoration. This helmet was originaly a double decal helmet with the national shield silhouette showing through with some paint scrateches showing the decal.Decals: The eagle decal is about 80%. as noted above the national shield is covered by later wartime paint.Lining: complete original lining with original cord. Leather appears dry but stable. Rivets or pins show signs of being opened

Chin strap is stamped but difficult to read but original to the era

Around 60% still present inside and on the outside. Minor rust and signs of wear and age. Well worn. Decals: The eagle decal is about 60%. Lining: Leather lining is present and well oiled. Shows decent wear and retains the original cord. Rivets show that the liner has not been opened for several decades-Chin strap: a broken chinstrap is present.Markings: Maker marked Q64 and lot numbered 253

Paint: Field grey paint on the outside at about 80 % still present. Some signs of wear. inside the paint is closer to 90cals: shows original army eagle decal at about 75% present.Lining: Flexible leather lining with original cord. Flexible but showing some wear and breakdown from age. No markings but probably a size 55-56Prongs. The liner is original to the shell. It appears they may have been opened once. Chin strap: is present but unservicable with breaks due to ageMarkings: NS62 and a lot mark of B567. Also remnants of an inspection stamp can be seen on the dome

  • #75-0266 – M40 RAD single decal German combat helmet, « Reichsarbeitsdienst » (Лот: 8288)

    A really nice and rare untouched example of a former M1940 Heer single decal German combat helmet that was reissued for the RAD « Reichsarbeitsdienst ». This helmet was found in November 2023 in an attic in the city of Strasbourg in France, it has never been in a collection before, we recovered it directly from the heirs. It is in nice untouched condition, it remains in its as found condition. The helmet is an « ET64 » with a lot number of « 856 ». The helmet’s exterior retains over 85% of the green factory paint. Some soiling with a dust and dirty appearance remains untouched. The « RAD » decal has been nicely field applied over the slight shadow of the Heer decal. It rates at 90%. This can be seen in the excellent detailed photos below. Some normal to typical wear on the helmet is present. The interior is undisturbed and in its original as found state. The liner system is complete. Leather is nicely worn and still retains its original drawstring. Original chinstrap is complete and maker marked. The helmet is named twice. Plenty of dust, dirt and natural debris accumulation present around the liner band. A choice and scarce combat helmet particularly in this condition

  • #75-0267 – M40 Heer single decal combat helmet, « SE64 » (Лот: 8289)

    A very nice classic German M1940 Heer single decal combat helmet. The helmet is a « SE64 » with a lot number of « 11826 ». The helmet’s exterior remains in its untouched natural state. Feldgrau paint rates in over 95% with a light amount of wear. This includes some light scraps along the top and proper rim wear. The helmet’s paint has a matte and slightly textured feel. Heer decal is present and shows light wear. It rates highly over 95% with minor surface scratches. Split pins are present, intact, complete and tightly secured to the helmet. They also retain the vast majority of their painted surface intact. The helmet’s interior remains complete and untouched. Leather liner is in very nice condition and still pliable, showing minimal wear. Drawstring is present. Chinstrap is complete and unmarked. Overall a very nice classic and desirable Heer combat helmet

    A German M42 helmet with tan, green and red-brown camo paint which was sprayed to the shell. The inside looks to have been brushed. About 70% of the paint is still present with a great patina over the piece.Decals: no decal applied.Lining: the leather lining is present with the cord present.Prongs: Appear to have been opened once.Chin strap: Mostly missing with just leather tabs remaining.
