WOOD 105TH COY IMP: YEO:’ 22-Year-old Angus Augustine Wood from Manchester attested for service in the Yeomanry on 28th February 1901. He served in South Africa for 1 year and 169 days being discharged on the termination of his period of engagement on 7th September 1902. The medal and all 3 clasps are confirmed on the relevant roll and he also appears on the roll for the clasps South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902.

An Interesting Army 1914 Star Long Service Medal Group of 3 to a Warrant Officer who Served in the Army Service Corps Before Transferring to the Tank Corps Where he Earnt his Long Service Medal, 1914 Star medal, ‘T-21125 SJT H.G. KENDALL A.S.C.’, British War medal, ‘T-21125 W.O.CL2 H.E. KENDALL A.S.C.’, Army Long Service and Good Conduct medal, GV 1st type,’7868712 W.O.CL. II. H.E KENDALL TANK CORPS’. Note different middle initial on 1914 Star, Victory medal is missing. Harold Edward Kendal served in France with 21st Field Ambulance from 5th October 1914 and is entitled to the August to November clasp to his star. He later transferred to the 18th Battalion Royal Tank Corps with service number 305517. His Long Service and Good Conduct medal was announced in the Army Order of April 1922.

T NEALE 7TH COY IMP: YEO:’ Medal and clasps confirmed on the roll, he is also entitled to the clasps South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902. Thomas Neale was from Market Harborough, Leicestershire and attested for service in the Imperial Yeomanry on 20th February 1901. He served for 1 year and 6 months before being discharged on 18th August 1902 aged 21 years and 6 months.

Third Reich SA (Sturmabteilung) Dagger by EP&S, Solingen with Dedication to the Blade, with light brown wooden grip having nickel silver eagle and enamel SA device. Nickel grip mounts, with the lower mount being stamped with Gau mark ‘Nm’. Housed in the original scabbard with worn three piece brown leather hanger. Blade with motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’, reverse with makers trademark and a engraved four line dedication ‘SA-OBERGRUPPENFÜHRER HERZOG IN HERZLICHER ALTER KÄMPFER KAMERADSCHAFT 30-10-1936 ADOLF KOL SA – GRUPPE MITTE’. The blade shows wear and has pitting. The blade measures 22 ¼ cms, overall 37cms. Dents to the scabbard and the lower ball mount on the scabbard.

US MODEL 1860 STYLE PRESESENTASION SWORD W/ PHOTO FROM A MEMBER OF THE 7TH REGIMENT NEW YORK CAVALRY. This sword has a 3 branch brass guard w/ a dark leather grip w/ wire wrap (honest wear), the ricasso is unmarked & the blade which was double engraved has had 90% of its engraving expertly removed for some reason, the iron scabbard has a fair amount of rust has brass mounts (lower one dented) w/ the top one being finely engraved ‘Presented to: Lieut. D. Beebe From West Troy friends Nov. 7th 1861′, this comes w/ a partial leather knot. The albumin photo is 7 ¼’ x 6′ and is oval as is the frame 10 ½’ x 8 ¾’, hand signed by him ‘Most Respectly yours Dillard Beebe’, shows him in full uniform (frock coat coat, hardee hat by his side, & holding a cavalry sword but not this one), this is in a period frame. This needs to be researched, a great archive, VG+

Indian Mutiny Medal to the 7th Hussars for the Siege of Lucknow, Indian Mutiny medal 1857-59, with clasp Lucknow, impressed naming, ‘TROOP SERGT MAJOR EDWD DALTON 7 HUSSARS’.Confirmed on the medal roll for the 7th Hussars with note ‘Services in the field in Oude East Indies from 4 Feby 1858 to 1st October 1858 including the siege of Lucknow 2nd to 16th March. o.962 Edward Dalton from Merton, Surrey attested for the 7th Hussars at Westminster on 6th December 1845. Promoted to Corporal on 3rd January 1852, Sergeant on 1st August 1854 and Troop Sergeant Major on 6th August 1857 but was tried and demoted to Private on 9th June 1859 due to drunkenness. He was discharged on 21st August 1861 having completed 15 years and 248 days service and was in possession of 2 Good Conduct badges.

Queens South Africa Medal to the 2nd (Wiltshire) Company Imperial Yeomanry, Queens South Africa Medal with 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Wittebergen and Transvaal, impressed naming, ‘9316 PTE P ANDREWS 2ND COY 1ST IMP: YEO:’ Horace Percy Andrews was a 26-year-old Farmer from Sturminster Newton, Dorset, when he attested at Trowbridge on 19th January 1900. He served for a total of 1 year and 78 days of which 1 year and 29 days were spent in South Africa. He is confirmed on the medal roll of the 2nd (Wiltshire) Company Imperial Yeomanry and is entitled to the Cape Colony, Wittebergen and South Africa 1901 clasp, the Transvaal clasp has not been confirmed.
