#74-1410 – General Assault Badge ‘Assmann’ (Лот: 7995)
Early hollow steel made General Assault Badge. Manufactured by the Lüdenscheid base maker Assmann & Söhne from Lüdenscheid. Properly marked with the maker ‘A’ logo in the center of the swastika. What makes this variant very collectible is that it was the only GAB ever to be made from steel. Apart from minor finish loss the award survived in very good condition

Mid-war solid zinc General Assault Badge. Earliest copper-coated variant of the Vienna-based maker Rudolf Souval and properly marked with the maker’s big round letter type logo. Heavy traces of wear and finish loss exposing the dark base coating. Mid-war solid zinc Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze. Unmarked but attributed to the Berlin-based maker C.E. Juncker.Apart from heavy traces of wear and finish loss the IAB also, production-related, is missing a part of the eagle’s head

Mid-war zinc made Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Manufactured by the Gablonz-based company Rudolf Karneth and properly maker-marked with the maker’s initials ‘RK’. Mid-war zinc made Panzer Assault Badge in Silver. Maker marked AS in triangle, representing a Gablonz-based conglomerate of award makers. The PAb remains in very good condition with only minor traces of wear (cf. The German Panzer Assault Badge of WWII, Ph. De Bock, 2021 pages 463-464)

Mid-war zinc made Panzer Assault badge in Silver. Made by the Dresden-based maker Hermann Aurich and properly marked with the maker’s initials AH. #74-1419 – Tank Assault Badge in Silver ‘P&L’ (Лот: 8004)
Early hollow Buntmetall/Tombak made Tank Assault Badge in Silver. Unmarked but safely attributed to the manufacturer Petz & Lorenz. The company lost its license to produce III Reich awards already in 1941 making this a rare and sought-after PAB. Finding a P&L PAB in this exquisite condition is even more difficult. #74-1420 – Tank Assault Badge in Silver ‘Juncker’ (Лот: 8005)
Early Nickle Silver made hollow Panzer Assault Badge in Silver Unmarked but safely attributed to the Berlin-based maker C.E. Juncker. Later type that features the small based wrap around hinge. Widely accepted as ‘the mother’ of all PABs and the variant to go for if you are only looking to add one PAB to your collection. Made out of high-quality Nickel silver these awards are virtually indestructible and wear and patina build-up only add to their beauty. (cf. The German Panzer Assault Badge of WWII, Ph. #74-1421 – Tank Assault Badge in Silver ‘A.S.’ (Лот: 8006)
Mid-war zinc made Panzer Assault Badge in Silver. Manufactured by Adolf Scholze and properly marked with the maker’s initials A.S. The PAB saw some action resulting in a deep cut on the right upper side between the eagle and the wreath. Otherwise in good condition with most finish nicely preserved. (cf. Late war zinc-made Panzer Assault Badge In Silver. Unmarked but attributed to A. Rettenmaier from Schwabisch-Gmünd.Overall in good condition with a very nicely preserved obverse finish. Mid-war hollow zinc-made Panzer Assault Badge in Silver. Unmarked but attributed to O. Schickle from Pforzheim. The PAB is unworn but starts to lose part of its finish.
