Rare Third Reich Police Officers Sword with Presentation Etched Blade, fine untouched example of a standard Police officers sword with early copper Police eagle emblem to the grip, original wire binding to the grip. Some surface rusting to the guard and top pommel. Housed in the original scabbard with single hanging ring. Straight polished blade with fine quality etched panels to the obverse and reverse. Engraved initials of the original owner and dedication ‘Gewidmet von Deinen Söhnen Heinz u. Alfred zur Beförderung im Kriegsjahr 1941’. (Dedicated by your sons Heinz and Alfred for promotion in the war year 1941). Spine etched with foliage and the reverse of the blade also etched with foliage pattern. Some light wear to the blade but generally good condition. The blade measures 84cms, overall 103 ½ cms.
