  • #468 – Rare WW1 Turkish M-18 Steel Combat Helmet (Лот: 12214)

Rare WW1 Turkish M-18 Steel Combat Helmet, a as found example of the rare visorless helmet which was produced by the Germans for the Ottoman Empire and issued to the Turkish troops at the later stages of WW1. The helmet has been found and has been badly stored at one time, with the shell being heavily pitted and rusted, one small hole at the back of the helmet. Remains of the original paint finish to the shell. Interior has the metal liner band with the chinstrap attachments identifying this as an M-18 pattern. The liner band still has the three brown leather liner pads present, but these not surprisingly show wear which is consistent with the condition of the shell. No markings are visible to the shell due to the pitting, however this is a extremely rare variation of Turkish WW1 helmet to find.
