Black stand up collar with gold braid and silvered regimental collar badges, black cuffs with regimental lace and gilt buttons. Knotted officers shoulder boards with rank pips removed. Interior with officers quilted lining with tailors label to the collar with inked name of the original owner. Some scattered areas of moth but generally a good example.

Clamshell with oakleaves and winged wheel with gilt swastika. Blackened metal scabbard with nickel mounts. Black leather bayonet frog attached to the scabbard. Single edged blade with fuller to the back edge and makers trademark to the reverse. The blade measures 19 ½ cms, overall 36 ½ cms.

Some surface rusting to the guard and top pommel. Housed in the original scabbard with single hanging ring. Straight polished blade with fine quality etched panels to the obverse and reverse. Engraved initials of the original owner and dedication ‘Gewidmet von Deinen Söhnen Heinz u. Alfred zur Beförderung im Kriegsjahr 1941’. (Dedicated by your sons Heinz and Alfred for promotion in the war year 1941). Spine etched with foliage and the reverse of the blade also etched with foliage pattern. Some light wear to the blade but generally good condition. The blade measures 84cms, overall 103 ½ cms.
