Miniature Luftwaffe Officers Sword by Alcoso, Solingen, fine example of a miniature salesman sample Luftwaffe officers sword with sun dial swastika to the centre of the pommel and centre of the cross guard. Blue leather covered grip with wire binding and blue leather covered scabbard with nickel silver fittings. Polished double edged blade with makers trademark to the base. The blade measures 16 ¾ cms, overall 26 ½ cms.

US CIVIL WAR PERIOD UNION MILITIA FROCK COAT, M-1851, is a dark blue wool w/ an 8-button (brass eagle) front, the 1 3/4′ collar & cuffs are trimmed in white cording, faded from blue, this is shorter style frock w/ a partial white wool lining on top & a partial black polished cotton bottom, the wool has a few stamps I can’t make out, rear has 2 black painted iron belt ramps, overall VG+ – EXC.

Attributed WW2 No6 Commando Cloth Shoulder Titles,interesting pair of embroidered red on black cloth shoulder titles. Larger than the standard type seen, indicating possibly early war manufacture. These titles were purchased by the late Bill Ellison along with the Commando knife of L/Cpl. Sydney “Danny” Dann, No3 Troop, No6 Commando, See lot — for his commando knife. L/Cpl. Sydney “Danny” Dann, formerly of the of the Essex Regiment, RASC, REME & Royal Army Catering Corps (RACC), then of No.3 Troop – Lt. Marshall Leaphard’s section – of No.6 Commando from, at least, 5th June 1944. He as promoted to L/Cpl. from Prt. shortly after D-Day. It is noted that Sydney Dann came originally from Peckham (London) and worked as a “Charge Hand” in the Co-Op Butchery in Dagenham (Kent) before being “called to the colours” in the Essex Regiment, but was soon transferred to the newly formed RACC due to his civilian trade. He volunteered for the Commandos and finally entered training at Achnacarry in January 1942. After the war he is noted as working in the Insurance profession.

Great War Scrap Album of Captain Charles A Lindup 11th Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment, superb example which includes a number of postcards, original war diary which details officers killed, aerial photographs, hand drawn and coloured trench maps, postcards of officers (some later killed in action) etc. All housed in a period album. Covers service on Western Front and then Italy, May 1916 – December 1917.

Grouping of 6th Battalion Hampshire Regiment Cap Badges, including bronze officers service dress example with blade fittings to the reverse with voided centre, similar example in solid form, smaller type bronze OSD with blade fittings to the reverse, white metal and enamel other ranks cap badge with slider fitting, officers cap badge in white metal and enamel with lug fittings to the reverse and a standard other ranks white metal cap badge with slider fitting. WW2 German Luftwaffe Officers Sword by David Malsch, Steinbach, nickel silver mounted officers sword with large pommel having mobile swastikas and cross guard with mobile swastikas. Blue leather covered grip with wire binding. Housed in the blue leather covered scabbard with nickel silver mounts. Double edged straight blade with very feint makers trademark to the reverse, which is common with this manufacturer. Also with acceptance stamp above the makers trademark. The blade tip slightly rounded. Blade 72cms, overall 92 ¼ cms. Scabbard runners missing, some dents to exterior fittings and wear.

US CIVIL WAR PERIOD UNION INFANTRY OFFICERS FROCK COAT, RANK OF CAPTIAN, made of a black doeskin, ¾’ length, has a 9-button front (gilted eagle style), this may have been re-purposed as the button spacing is in groups of 3 as done for the RANK OF GENERAL, has a brown muslin like lining having 1 inside pocket, has a 1 ¼’ collar, its gold bullion shoulder straps are just under 1 & ½’ x 4′ & have a blue satin center (the bullion has a fair amount of damage), has its matching cuff buttons & 2 rear tail buttons, has some wear spots & some mothing, overall G+ – G++

Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to a Stoker who was Discharged Following the Traumatic Amputation of 4 Fingers on his Left Hand, Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct medal, GV, 2nd type, ‘K31741 J.C. FRENCH L.STO. H.M.S. PEMBROKE’. ohn Charles French was born in Maidstone, Kent on 3rd November 1897 and joined the Royal Navy on 22nd March 1916 as a Stoker 2nd Class. He was awarded a British War medal and Victory medal for his war service with his long service medal being confirmed on 24th April 1931. He was invalided to shore on 1st May 1935 following an accident on H.M.S. Medway on 21st September 1934 which resulted in the traumatic amputation of 4 fingers of his left hand. John French died in Maidstone on 27th June 1963.
