WW1 American M-1917 Steel Helmet of the 178th Infantry Brigade 89th Division, rough textured shell with much of the original paint finish. Painted emblems to both sides for the 178th Infantry Brigade 89th Division. Helmet with American type chinstrap mounts, no chinstrap or liner present. The 89th Division arrived in France, in late 1918, participated in the Battle of St. Mihiel and the Meuse-Argonne Offensive.

US CIVIL WAR PERIOD UNION OFFICERS KEPI, blue doeskin, rear i4′ tall & front is 2 ¾’ tall & its diameter of its top is 5′, a black patent leather visor which extend 1 ½’ w/ matching chin-strap and eagle side-buttons, on front is a 2′ wide gold bullion wreath w/ unit numbers ’26’ in silver bullion (some damage) on black velour, a brown polished cotton lining along w/ a 1 ½’ wide brown leather sweatband which has been recently resewn as is the visor, G+

Signed to the bottom corner; Tom Cottrell cartoon of three British Generals in WW1 with caption ‘I’M SORRY SIR BUT MY YOUNG LADY MUST HAVE DONE IT WITH HER LIPSTICK’, signed in the corner by the artist and dated ‘9.2.1916’; Another cartoon artwork by cartoonist Edward Huskinson of political interest. THIRD REICH VETERANS FLAG BEARERS GORGET, 9 ½’ wide x 4′ tall, appears to be aluminum, attached to the front is an array of Imperial & Third Reich flags (gold-gilted brass) w/ a center monument & swastika design in enamel, w/ 2 gilt bosses, dark cloth reverse is well worn, the single suspension bar is stamped ‘3’, its gold-gilt brass chain has alternating swastikas & WWI crosses, overall VG++

#94 – Third Reich Transitional DLV / Luftwaffe 1st Pattern Dress Dagger by J A Henckels, Solingen (Лот: 7283)
Third Reich Transitional DLV / Luftwaffe 1st Pattern Dress Dagger by J A Henckels, Solingen, early nickel plated officers dress dagger with sun dial swastikas to the pommel and centre of the cross guard. Blue leather covered grip with wire binding. Housed in blue leather covered scabbard with nickel plated fittings having the staple dome covers to the reverse of the fittings which is typical of the DLV daggers. Original full length hanging chains attached to the scabbard. Plain double edged blade with makers trade mark to the base. Blade measures 31cms, overall 47 ½ cms. Some light wear to the blade and gilt wash from the swastikas now absent.

Great War 1914-15 Star Meal Trio for Service in the Royal Navy with an Elizabeth II Imperial Service Medal, 1914-15 Star medal, British War and Victory medals, ‘J17966 M.H. LAMB A.B. R.N.’, Imperial Service medal EIIR, ‘MAURICE HENRY LAMB’ in hinged case of issue accompanied by issue letter for I.S.M. dated 24th February 1956 and an impressive London General Post Office retirement certificate after 27 years’ service, dated 1956. mperial Service medal London Gazette 24th February 1956, Postman London Postal Region. aurice Henry Lamb was born in Fulham, London on 29th August 1896. He entered the Royal Navy in January 1912 as a Boy 2nd Class on Impregnable. He Served the whole of the Great War onboard Impregnable and was discharged on 30th August 1926. We have been unable to find any record of other medals being issued.

WW1 Steel Combat Helmet of the 78th Division, being an early British issue steel helmet with much of the original paint finish. To the side is the emblem of the 78th division. Interior chinstrap mounts with British style split pins. No liner or chinstrap. Shell with a varnish covering.78th division landed In France mid 1918, during the summer and fall of 1918, it was the “point of the wedge” of the final offensive which knocked out Germany. The 78th was in three major campaigns Meuse-Argonne,St. Mihiel, andLorraine. The division was demobilized on 9 July 1919 at Camp Dix, New Jersey.

Many good images of observation balloons, troops in uniform, local scenes, etc. All housed in a period photograph album with gilt tooled emblems to the cover. Approx 150 photographs in the album.

Miniature Third Reich DLV / Luftwaffe 1st Pattern Dress Dagger, well made miniature dagger with nickel silver mounts. Blued grip with artificial wire. Sun dial swastikas to the pommel and cross guard. Housed in the original blue leather covered scabbard and the mounts have the DLV type dome coverings to the staples as found on DLV daggers. Polished blade measuring 15 ½ cms, overall 23 ½ cms.

A Great War Territorial Long Service Medal Group of Four to the Royal Army Medical Corps, 1914-15 Star medal, British War and Victory medals, ‘2256 PTE. T. KITCHENHAM R.A.M.C.’, Territorial Efficiency medal, GV, ‘7339072 PTE. T. KITCHENHAM R.A.M.C.’. homas Kitchenham was born in Maidstone on 14th February 1890, in December 1896 he and 2 siblings were admitted into the Medway Poor Law Union. He served in France with the Royal Army Medical Corps from 17th December 1914 and was discharged unfit for further service on 14th April 1919 and issued with a Silver War Badge. The change of service number is confirmed on his medal index card. The Territorial Efficiency medal was confirmed in Army Order 435 of 1925. Post war he lived in Halling, Strood, Kent and he died Maidstone in July 1952.
