Scarce Japanese Steel Helmet Used by a Medic in Indo China War, an interesting original Japanese type 90 steel combat helmet which retains much of the original brown paint finish. All four sides of the helmet have painted emblem for a medic (red cross). The helmet has no metal helmet emblem or a liner system. The helmet does have a later chinstrap attachment and part of a leather chinstrap. elieved to be an original WW2 Japanese type 90 helmet but worn in the post war years, probably in Indo China.

Fine Full WW2 Japanese Infantryman Uniform, Equipment and Steel Combat Helmet, the set is all placed on a very good quality display mannequin. The set includes other ranks winter pattern wool four pocket tunic with its original buttons. To the collar is machine woven other ranks collar patches. Correct pair of brown wool Japanese other ranks trousers. Other ranks brown leather waist belt with metal buckle. Attached to the belt are a pair of Arisaka ammunition pouches. Large canvas ‘Octopus’ type back pack with the original straps. Small canvas haversack bag also to the reverse. Leather medical pouch, canvas gas mask bag and the original other ranks gas mask with its canister. Brown painted other ranks water bottle with its original shoulder strap and harness. Khaki wool puttees above a pair of brown leather other ranks ankle combat boots. Type 90 other ranks combat helmet which has its padded cloth cover with felt yellow infantry star patch to the centre. Interior of the cover white lined with ink issue stamps. The steel helmet itself also has much of the original paint finish to the shell. Japanese infantry helmet star badge to the centre. Interior of the helmet retains the leather liner band with three leather liner pads. The set appears to be in excellent overall condition. e have not removed any items from the mannequin and the set is being sold as seen. old with the mannequin. Scarce WW2 Japanese Pilots Officers Tunic, good four pocket officers tunic with plain dome front buttons and gilt metal top pocket buttons. Silver wire Japanese pilots wing to the breast. Rank insignia patch for the rank of captain. Green cloth lining to the interior with interior pocket. Some sun fading to the tunic but otherwise a nice example.

Rare WW2 Japanese Signed Battle Flag of Last Ditch Kamikaze Battle Unit, fine example of a silk national flag with ink signatures, ‘KAMIKAZE SPIRIT’, ‘Shinnoya Kamitake’, ‘for Tayamashiku’ ‘No 10305 unit commander + army colonel Hajime Yoshikawa’, ‘unrivalled loyalty’. Seven signatures in total. Measures 68 x 84cms.At the end of WW2, the Japanese formed Kamikaze battle units which were trained to go into action against a British led invasion of the Japanese mainland, code name Operation Downfall. The men were to run suicide missions against the allied forces as they hit the landing beaches.
