Helmet is complete with 1940 dated liner system and webbing chinstrap. Some surface rusting to the exterior of the shell.

Letter was hand signed by Krebs on 5 February 1943. Very interesting piece.

The centre of the helmet has emblem showing a Pigeons head wearing a steel helmet looking up to the sky on a white circular background. Complete with the original liner and webbing chinstrap. Some denting and rusting to the shell but a very rare to find home front steel helmet.

Housed in the original green card outer slip case printed ‘Militargeographische Einzelangaben uber England’. Accompanied by six of the photograph reconnaissance booklets of landmarks etc. Some wear and fading to some of the green covers. Areas include East Anglia (Ost-Anglia), South Wales (Sud-Wales), North Midlands (Nord-Midlands), etc. Some with more maps than others.

Dial with luminous markings, hands and subsidiary dial. Complete with the original winder. Outer case with fixing holes for attaching to the aircraft cockpit dash. Some wear but generally a good example. Although appears to be working we do not guarantee its accuracy. Sold as a display item only.

#548 – Soviet Russian SSh-40 Steel Combat Helmet (Лот: 9140)
Ставки принимаются через менеджераSoviet Russian SSh-40 Steel Combat Helmet, an interesting example of a standard Soviet Russian WW2 pattern (SSh-40) steel helmet which retains much of its original green paint finish to the shell. Original three black leather pad liner system to the interior and remains of a ink stamping to the interior. The shell has received a number of bullet and shrapnel impact holes and dents, these we believe possibly done as a test and not combat damage. An interesting display piece.

Interior has the leather liner system and the leather chinstrap. Shell with ink size stamp ’55’, the liner has impressed stampings.
