#496 – WW1 British Headdress Grouping of Northumberland Fusiliers & Tyneside Scottish Interest (Лот: 9088)
WW1 British Headdress Grouping of Northumberland Fusiliers & Tyneside Scottish Interest, consisting of an original 1916 pattern wool trench cap in near mint condition with original all brass cap badge to the centre, thin leather chinstrap and general service side buttons. Interior with the black oilskin liner with clear makers stamp with 1918 date and war department stamps; WW1 period other ranks Tam O’shanter wool headdress with other ranks badge for the Tyneside Scottish to the front. Both items of headdress were found inside a cloth bag for a foreign service helmet along with a grouping of paperwork items relating to Private E F White Northumberland Fusiliers, including two photographs of two brothers (assuming one is private E F White) wearing these two items of headdress. Both headdress items remain in excellent overall condition.

Impressive NSDAP / SA Sturmfahne of Standarte for Sulzkirchen District, cotton construction with white cloth centre and multiple piece constructed swastika. Left on top the wool district patch of ‘Sulzkirchen’. The flag is complete with the wooden pole and pole top eagle. Pole top in generally good condition with RZM code M3/4039.

Complete with the original ribbon tails. 4th South African Infantry badge fitted. Black cloth lining to the interior. Shows some wear but generally still a good example.

Scarce Third Reich NSDAP / SA Sturmfahne of 11. Sturmbann Standarte GS4, cotton construction with white cloth centre and multiple piece constructed swastika on both sides. Left on top the wool district patch ’11/GS4′ and additional organisation martyr banners for ‘Hubert Kopp – Adolf Wiedermann’. Rings replaced by two clips on the left corners. Very good condition.

#498 – Great War HMS Bustard Royal Navy Ratings Cap (Лот: 9090)
Great War HMS Bustard Royal Navy Ratings Cap, good example of a white top naval ratings cap with its original WW1 period cap tally of HMS BUSTARD with full stop after the ships name. Interior of the cap with inked name, first initial not clear and last letter in surname also not clear. Accompanied by Great War ratings bib, Bosuns whistle, cloth insignia, plus other items. All housed in a leather case.HMS Bustard was commissioned in 1871, she was an Ant Class Iron Screw Gunboat. Devised by Sir George Rendel of Armstrong & Co the “Ant” class flat iron gunboats were designed as fast, easily handled defence vessels, which, packing a heavy punch, were able to pose a serious threat to enemy ironclads. 24 ships of this class were built, including HMS “Bustard”. Superseded by later torpedo boats, the class were refitted to serve in WW1 with smaller guns, very small total crew of 30, “Bustard” was finally sold for scrap in 1923. Many images can be found online of the ships service during WW1.

WW1 British Royal Artillery Type A Brodie Steel Helmet Shell, good untouched example of the early type A brodie helmet with the raw edge and the short brim. The helmet shell has a dark overpaint to the early apple green paint finish. Front of the shell is painted emblem or divisional badge for Royal Artillery HQ. Complete with the remains of the original, although later type, leather chinstrap but no liner system. Untouched as found example.

WW1 British Steel Combat Helmet, good untouched example of a 2nd pattern brodie helmet with much of its original combat paint finish remaining to the shell. Covering to the brim of the shell. Complete with the original oilskin liner to the interior and brown leather chinstrap, the chinstrap mounts having the split pin fitting. Helmet remains in very good overall condition. ate Rod Flood collection.

These early war gilded aluminium buckles were produced before the more often encountered one piece constructed bright gilded types. Very rare piece.

WW1 British Steel Combat Helmet, good untouched example of a 2nd pattern brodie hemet which retains its original rough textured paint finish to the shell. 2nd type with brim covering. Interior retains the original oilskin liner with pink Brodie stamp to the underside. Helmet retains the original leather chinstrap. Some surface rusting to the exterior of the shell but otherwise a good example.
