The edge is stamped with the original makers mark for Franz & Hermann Wandinger, who were the only silversmiths to be authorised to make these specially produced frames for Adolf Hitler to present. Also stamped with 925 silver mark and crescent moon and crown mark. The frame is displayed with a re-print of an official Hoffmann photograph of Adolf Hitler which would have originally been present in the frame when presented. A very good example of an extremely rare item of Third Reich militaria. These frames were only presented by Adolf Hitler and would have originally had a signed dedicated Hoffman type photograph of Adolf Hitler.
