Ставки принимаются через менеджераOUTSTANDING WAFFEN-SS /ALLGEMEINE-SS PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM, 9′ x 12′, its hard cover has ‘Kriegs-Erinnerungen’ embossed in silver & ‘5 silver metal runes mounted on front along w/ a silver metal swastika closure buckle. Consists of a 153 photos w/ 90% of them having great combat subject matter including: several wear SS camo including helmet covers, smocks, unit flags, great helmet shots, panzers, artillery, downed British planes, SS Generals, recon troops, motorcycles w/ side cars, machine gunners, even a military blimp, etc. most of these are approx. 5 ½’ x 3 ½’, on the opening page is the owner in his black uniform wearing a ‘Deutschland’ cufftitle, there is also another same size of a friend in black uniform wear his dagger at his wedding. Most all of these pictures are from the Invasion of Poland, othis also includes hi wound tag, 1 of the top SS albums I have ever looked at, overall exc.

#232 – North West Frontier Royal Engineer Attributed Officers Foreign Service Wolseley Helmet (Лот: 10298)
Ставки принимаются через менеджераNorth West Frontier Royal Engineer Attributed Officers Foreign Service Wolseley Helmet, fine example of a tropical cork cloth covered Wolseley helmet made by Hawkes & Co. The helmet with thick folded cloth pagri to the centre. Leather trim to the brim of the helmet. Housed in the original storage tin with painted details ‘LIEUT S. C. R. DUFFY 38TH A.A BN R.E (T.A)’. Accompanied by a photograph of the officer in the North West Frontier and a photograph of his sweetheart. Helmet remains in very good overall condition. Lieutenant Samuel Charles Rhodes Duffy was born on 26th December 1896 in Liverpool. He was a member of the 1/6th Liverpool Regiment Territorial Force. Rising through the ranks from private to corporal. On 25th February 1915 he landed in France. For service in WW1 he was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant Royal Lancaster regiment 31st July 1917. He landed in India on 18th May 1918 and joined the 2/95 Russel’s Infantry. He rejoined the Territorials, 1936 Lieutenant 38th (Kings Regt) A.A. Battalion Royal Engineers (T.A). He rose to the rank of Captain in 1939. Duffy died on 24th September 1986. Helmet accompanied by research.

Interior with its 1945 dated issue size label and war department stamp with date letter code ‘Z’. Generally good condition example.

Scabbard with early DLV style covered staples. Nickel silver chain. Blade with makers trade mark to the base. Shows some wear. Cross guard stamped ‘LA Nbg.7′. Retains the original washer. The exterior has been lacquered giving it a golden appearance. Blade measures 12′, overall 19’.

SEPTEMBER 1942′ w/ the rank of ‘OBERLEUTNANT’ at the ‘FUHRERHAUPTQUARTIER’, signed by Adolph Hitler, its otter folder is a red moroccan leather w/ a large embossed gold eagle, inside is signed in gold by ‘Frieda Thiersch’, this man was a German hero and went on to win the Oakleaves, the folder has some lite scuffing but overall condition VG. – exc.

Complete with its leather chinstrap. Green cloth covering to the interior. Complete with leather sweatband with cork spacers. Accompanied by cloth storage bag. The 9th Anti-Aircraft battery was part of the 5th Anti-Aircraft Brigade, serving in Hong Kong 1938-41.

Generally good condition.

Bayonet good overall finish with just slight wear to the blade. Scabbard with original paint but does show some wear. Complete with patent leather frog. Blade 8 ¾ ‘, overall 13 ½ ‘.

Ставки принимаются через менеджераVariation of Luftwaffe LKpN 101 Flying Helmet, unusual example of the netted Luftwaffe flying helmet with green cloth covered internal earphone cups, green cloth back strap cloth, top with leather cross over strap as opposed to the back to front strap often seen. Leather throat microphones and wiring loom with Czech made junction box and wiring jack plug with metal cap. Helmet with partial chamois lining and wool to the ear cups. No labels to the helmet. Originally came with a SSK-90 helmet, thought to be the under helmet for this. See Lot 245 for the SSK-90 helmet.

Good images of comrades, local scenes, architecture, aircraft, etc. The album begins being annotated but then it goes blank and just the images. Some loose images and original documentation inside. The second album covers post war service back in the UK with many good images of aircraft from the early post war and jet age years, comrades and personal life etc. Good complete set.
