WW2 GERMAN PANZER BERET, fine example of a original black panzer beret as famously worn by the German armoured crews during the early stages of WW2. The padded crash helmet retains the original tan leather sweatband which is size stamped 56. The oilcloth lining to the interior with the Robert Lubstein Erel label to the centre. Black wool beret top with early pattern white bevo cloth eagle and cockade. Some mothing to the beret top and wear to the interior but all consistent with its age.

THIRD REICH CLAMSHELL HONOR STYLE BAYONET BY CARL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN, interesting example of a Weimar conversion bayonet with clamshell having relief of eagle. Two piece stag horn grips. Honor bayonet style relief of oakleaves to the top pommel. Housed in its blackened steel scabbard with frog stud fitting. Plated blade with fuller to the back edge and makers trade mark to the base. The blade measures 9 ¾ inches, overall 15 ¾ inches.Honor bayonets are extremely rare, this item was bought by the vendor as an original, however we feel that the main part and the clamshell are original period items but the grip has been re-cast in post war years and is sold as such.

Imperial German Prussian Other Ranks Pickelhaube with Original Trench Cover, sleepy untouched example of an other ranks pickelhaube which is fitted with an early pattern cloth trench cover, the underside having black ink regimental stamp ‘Gr. R. 11’. The helmet itself has a other ranks plate which has officers quality gilt wash, the other fittings have a dark patina. The interior of the helmet has its original leather liner system, but this shows wear like the exterior of the helmet. Pencil name of the original owner to the underside of the front peak. A time capsule helmet.

Bevo flat wire cap eagle above gilt metal bishops cross, bullion officers cockade roundel and purple soutache. Interior with cloth lining and the forehead section with leather sweatband having stamped mark. Generally good condition.

RARE WWII GERMAN SS ISSUE PARADE BAYONET, SS RZM 188/35, fine example of a standard German armed forces parade bayonet with two piece chequered grips. Plated eagle head pommel and cross guard. Housed in blackened steel scabbard with bayonet frog stud to the top of the scabbard. Polished blade with fuller to the back edge. Reverse of the blade marked with SS runes RZM 188/35. The blade measures 7 ½ inches, overall 13 ¾ inches.

Historically Interesting File of Post WW2 Documents Relating to Missing Personnel, interesting grouping of documents ‘Militärverhältnis’ (Military Situation), with civilian photographs and typed documents relating to their military service. 37 in total. Accompanied by a Deutsche Rotes Kreuz (German Red Cross) armband. At the end of WW2 many service people were still to be accounted for and these type of documents were very important for the authorities to ascertain the fate of servicemen.
