1920’s Photograph Album Royal Navy Officer in China and the Far East, fine album compiled by a Royal Naval officer whilst serving in China and the Far East, with good personal snapshot photographs, many annotated of sites, local people, temples and naval / military scenes. Album begins with images taken in Korea with civilians on the coast, in the fields etc. Then moves to Japan with similar type images and then onto China. Good images of Chinese theatre, cliffs at Wei Hai Wei, civilians working in agriculture, funeral party, temples, etc. Moving away from far east images, many good shots of naval interest and Submarine L2. Good image of Commander Acworth DSC. All housed in a period album. (88 images)

Interior pocket with 1942 dated tailors label having inked name ‘The Rev M Roche’. Comes with the waist belt.

Other good images of RAF personnel with Japanese naval aviators etc. Good image of a RAF officer being presented with a Japanese sword. A very interesting and rare photograph album of aviation interest.

WW2 GERMAN WAFFEN-SS / POLICE LUGER PISTOL HOLSTER, black leather luger pistol holster with the original leather securing strap. Stripping tool pouch to the interior. Body of the holster stamped with issue markings ‘AWM’ over ‘8 11’. Stamped with a small Totenkopf skull. Belt loops to the reverse of the holster.

Post 1902 Officers Green Cloth Home Service Helmet of the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, fine example of a green cloth home service cork helmet with post 1902 officers regimental helmet plate to the front. Brass front trim and rear spine, officers spike base with rosette fittings and fluted spike. Officers linked chinstrap and side rosettes. Tan leather sweatband but no cloth lining. Evidence of a Victorian plate once being present, but changed to kings crown after 1902 by the officer. Generally a good example of a desirable green cloth helmet.

WW2 British Officers Service Dress Uniform for an Officer in the 11th or 12th (Queens Westminster) Battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps, fine example of a four pocket officers service dress tunic with blackened buttons of the Queens Westminster’s, KRRC style blackened rank pips with red underlay. Twist cord white, red and black lanyard to the shoulders leading to undated plated officers Metropolitan type whistle. Medal ribbon bar for 1939-45 star, Africa star with 8th army clasp and France & Germany star, this ribbon bar would indicate that the officer may have served in both battalions of the KRRC. Interior with London tailors label and named to the officer, ‘N Hanbury Esq’ and dated ‘Nov 1940’. Accompanied by matching service dress trousers. Generally good condition set.
