WW2 GERMAN LUFTWAFFE HONOUR GOBLET (EHRENPOKAL) IN SILVER AWARDED TO GERHARD ARENDT KAMPFGESCHWADER 54, fine example of a silver honour goblet engraved to the bottom section ‘FELDWEBEL GERHARD ARENDT AM 26.10.41’. The goblet with a nice dark patina to the body. Underneath is impressed with German silver marks, crescent moon, crown 835 and eagle, also stamped with makers mark ‘JOH. WAGNER & SOHN’. Small dent to the rim and some scratching to the name area but generally good example of an early silver goblet. Traces of war list Arendt as serving with Kampfgeschwader 54, also states he was awarded the Radio Operators badge, bomber operational bar in bronze, EK2, EK1, German Cross in gold and this honour goblet.

And 21 Other Ranks’ small buttons: 2nd, 8th, 13th, 15th, 19th, 23rd, 33rd, 34th, 35th, 40th, 42nd, 48th, 52nd (2), 54th, 65th, 67th, 68th, 72nd, 78th, 92nd. Several with NCO gilt wash, possibly Officers’. Generally good condition. (44 items)

Complete with other ranks reichs and Prussian state cockade. Cloth interior without any visible ink stampings. Some general wear but still a good example.

WW2 British Kent Fire Brigade Steel Helmet, fine example of a British steel helmet with decal insignia of the Kent Fire Brigade to the centre. Much of the original black paint finish to the shell. Complete with its original liner, webbing chinstrap and original neck flap to the rear of the shell. The helmet liner is dated 193-, last digit not visible.

WW2 GERMAN LUFTWAFFE HONOUR GOBLET (EHRENPOKAL) WITH AWARD CITATIONS, fine example of an Alpaka honour goblet awarded to ‘OBERFELDWEBEL HANS JÖNS AM 23.4.42’. The award has a nice uncleaned and dark patina. Underside of the goblet is impressed ‘FEINSILBER ALPAKA AUFLAGE’ and makers mark of ‘JOH.WAGNER & SOHN’. The goblet is accompanied by a number of award citations awarded to the recipient, including EK2, EK1, Reconnaissance clasp in silver, Reconnaissance clasp in gold, 1st October medal, Honour Goblet (Ehrenpokal) and the German Cross in gold. The citations have been folded and show some wear but generally a very good complete set.

Ten Original Livery Button Pattern Book Pages Containing 149 Buttons, Eight early 19th century cards containing 12 large and 93 small gilt and silver plate livery buttons many identified, some peerage. With two mid-19th century pages containing 41 large and 3 small livery buttons. All from the JR Gaunt & Son Ltd Pattern Book Archive via the National Army Museum, Chelsea. The earlier eight pages contain buttons in generally very good condition (one heavily age-soiled page’s buttons require cleaning). The buttons on the later two pages are generally near mint. A remarkable array of buttons and pages charting the social history of Britain. (149 items).

WW1 German 1916 Prussian Feldmutze / Kratzchen, good untouched example of a other ranks feldmutze in field grey wool with red piping and red central band. Complete with other ranks reichs and Prussian state cockades. Cloth interior with ink stamp which appears to be a 1916 date and army depot mark but these are not clear. Some minor scattered mothing and general wear but still a good example.

Issued in 1938, with civilian photograph of the holder to the inside; German veterans Soldatenbund Mitglieds-Pass to a WW1 war veteran with civilian photograph to the inside and various awards for WW1 service; SA card ausweis with uniform photograph; 3x NSRL sports association identity cards and record book. WW2 British Home Front Factory Fire Service Steel Helmet, standard WW2 British steel helmet with black paint finish to the shell. White stencilled factory details ‘J. S. Ltd F.S’ to the front. Helmet is complete with the original 1939 dated liner system and webbing chinstrap. The underside of the brim also has ‘J.S. Ltd’ stencilled and the number ‘230’.

WW2 GERMAN LUFTWAFFE SCHELLENBAUM EAGLE BANNER TOP, superb example of the impressive Luftwaffe banner top in the form of a eagle in flight as used with the schellenbaum flag. The frosted silver eagle retains much of the finish to the highlights. Lower swastika in wreath with the pole socket fitting. The talon is fixed for the rope of the unit flag to pass through. Some expected wear to the piece but generally an excellent example. 25′ wingspan, 14 ½ ‘ high.
