This example is in great supple condition, all of its original tortoise patterned buttons remain in place and the neck closure piece still buttoned to the inside of the coat. Unfortunately, the waist belt is missing. The chequered/tartan style lining to the rear collar has its makers label stating the model as ‘The Fidamac’. Upon lifting up this cloth liner, reveals the WD stamp and broad arrow. With the letter ‘M’ telling us that this is of 1944 manufacturer. Not an overly common piece of British army clothing.
