Rare WW1 British Other Ranks Steel Combat Helmet with Original Sacking Trench Cover, good untouched example of an early pattern steel combat helmet with the 1st pattern liner system and early two piece leather chinstrap. The helmet is fitted with an original four panel hessian sacking trench cover. The cover is tightly fixed to the helmet so have not been able to remove to see the exterior of the shell. Interior shows some surface pitting and wear to the liner.

Victorian Hampshire Regiment Officers Home Service Helmet Plate, superb example with much of the fire gilt wash finish to the badge. Centre with black velvet backing, gilt lion and silvered wreath. Lower scroll with ‘THE HAMPSHIRE REGIMENT’. Three lug fittings to the reverse.

Rare Boer War 65th (Leicestershire) Company Imperial Yeomanry Troopers Service Dress Tunic, khaki wool four pocket tunic with blackened Imperial Yeomanry tunic buttons, early large type blackened brass shoulder titles ’65 I Y’. The interior of the tunic has internal belt. Remains of the original paper label to the interior. Strip of replaced material behind the buttons and to the collar. The tunic shows wear, with stitching faults around the shoulder, also some moth damage. Super rare to find original early wool Boer War period service dress tunics for other ranks troopers. The 65th Company (Leicestershire) Imperial Yeomanry was recruited from men with no military experience. They were one of the first Imperial Yeomanry units to take part in the Boer War in 1900. The first contingent in South Africa consisted of just 120 officers and men.

The back pack with rigid body and larger space inside the pack to the standard army issues. Pony fur front with leather straps. Canvas cloth interior to the pack. Reverse with brown leather and pony fur. Complete with the leather shoulder straps.

Scarce WW1 British Other Ranks 1st Pattern Steel Combat Helmet, good example of a 1st pattern rimless edge brodie steel combat helmet with much of its original early apple green paint finish to the shell. The helmet has the correct first pattern six tongue liner system and the original two piece brown leather chinstrap. The shell shows some service wear with dents etc and the lining shows obvious service wear but generally a very good example of a rare to find WW1 steel combat helmet.

British Royal Horse Artillery Troopers Tunic, navy blue cloth with red collar. Yellow cord frogging to the front with brass kings crown ball type regimental buttons. Knotted cord to the cuffs and shoulder straps. To one arm are two bullion trade proficiency badges. Partial blanket lining to the interior with the original 1910 dated paper label and white stamp ‘RHA 5579’. Some evidence of service wear but still remains a good example.

WW1 52nd Battalion (New Ontario) Canadian Expeditionary Force Steel Combat Helmet, an interesting and untouched example of a 2nd pattern brodie helmet with cover to the rim. Blue grey paint finish to the exterior of the shell and a stencilled insignia of the 52nd CEF to the front. Interior of the shell has written details with 1917 date, but this is not clear enough to transcribe, it mentions comrade, which could indicate this was picked up off the battlefield. Original but worn liner system to the interior of the shell. Some surface rusting to the exterior of the shell but overall an interesting WW1 Canadian steel helmet.

IMPERIAL GERMAN NAVAL OFFICERS SWORD, good untouched example with gilt metal lion head pommel having jeweled eyes. Bone handle with wire binding to the grip. Nice relief to the knuckle guard and the folding guard with crowned anchor. Housed in leather and brass mounted scabbard. Slightly curved blade with etched decoration of nautical scenes, crowned anchor etc. No makers details. Blade 30 ¾ ‘. Some surface staining to the blade. Small chip to the bone grip.
