UNTOUCHED WWII GERMAN M-40 DOUBLE DECAL STEEL COMBAT HELMET, a superb untouched as found example of a M-40 pattern steel combat helmet which has the original combat paint finish. The helmet has the original German army and national tri-colour decals. Helmet retains the original leather liner which is dusty and dry. Also has the original leather chinstrap. Shell stampings are there but not clearly visible. The helmet has never been touched since brought home as a souvenir from WW2 by a American veteran, if you are looking for an un-messed with helmet, this is the one for you.

Rare Boer War / WW1 Period British Made Slouch Hat, fine example of an early British made slouch hat, the design style associated with wear during the Boer War and during WW1 by Australian forces. The khaki felt headdress is fitted with the original thin leather chinstrap. Light tan cloth folded pagri to the centre. Brass press studs and enlisted ranks brass Australian Commonwealth Military Forces headdress badge. Interior with unmarked brown leather sweatband. Some scattered areas of mothing but generally a good example. A very rare and desirable item of headdress from this period.

#254 – WWII GERMAN WAFFEN-SS M-40 STEEL COMBAT HELMET (Лот: 5585)
WWII GERMAN WAFFEN-SS M-40 STEEL COMBAT HELMET, superb ‘out of the woodwork’ single decal Waffen-SS steel combat helmet which retains much of the original dark combat paint finish to the exterior and interior of the shell. Helmet is a M-40 pattern shell. The helmet retains over 90% of the original Waffen-SS runes decal still present. The helmet shell also has a indentation from either a bullet or shrapnel to the rear side of the shell, but this has only dented and not pierced the shell. Helmet retains its original leather liner system, however this shows some dryness and some small sections are now missing or detached from the main body of the liner. Original owners name inked to the liner. Shell is stamped lightly ‘Q66’ and ‘1759’. Remains of the leather chinstrap.

Interior with leather sweatband and quilted lining with gilt leaf tailors details to the crown. Generally good condition.

WW2 American M1 Steel Combat Helmet, being a good untouched example of an early fixed bale M1 helmet shell with webbing chinstrap and steel clips. Much of the original paint finish remains to the exterior of the shell. Complete with its original separate liner with leather strap. Generally good condition set. The early fixed bale helmets were the type worn by the US forces on D-Day (Normandy landings).
