Victorian 2nd Hants Rifle Volunteers Officers Home Service Helmet, fine example of a green cloth covered officers home service helmet with white metal officers helmet plate, having arms of Southampton to the centre and strap with ‘2ND HANTS RIFLE VOLUNTEERS’. Rosette side bosses with linked silver plated chin strap and cruciform spike base with rosette mounts. Interior with tan leather sweatband and crimson lining. Some light areas of cloth loss but generally a very good example of a scarce helmet. Late Rod Flood collection.

WW2 German Armed Forces M-40 Steel Combat Helmet, retaining much of its original dark combat paint finish to the exterior and interior of the shell. Non decaled example. Interior with the original leather liner system. Shell stamped ‘EF62’ and rear skirt stamped ‘31704’. Liner shows wear and has some age cracking.

GERMAN ARMY DOUBLE DECAL AUSTRIAN TRANSITIONAL STEEL HELMET, fine example of a Austro Hungarian M-16 steel helmet shell which has been refurbished and issued during the Third Reich era. The helmet has an apple green overpaint finish with a toned German army eagle decal and national tri-colour decal. Helmet shell has some dents and light surface rusting. Interior is complete with M-31 liner system, as you find in WW2 German steel helmets, with aluminium band. Some flaking and wear to the liner. Original Austro Hungarian chinstrap mounts are still present in the shell. Generally a good example of a transitional steel helmet.

WW2 British Senior Wardens Steel Helmet, fine example of a senior wardens steel helmet with white painted exterior with central black bar and W to the centre over an unusual district number ’28’. Helmet retains the original 1939 dated liner and webbing chinstrap. The shell is stamped ‘R. O. Co’ ‘cp’ 1/1939. Overall a very nice example.

Rosette side bosses with linked chinstrap, cruciform cross base with rosettes and fluted spike. Brown leather sweatband. Helmet remains in excellent condition overall. Late Rod Flood collection.

Interior with cloth lining, sweatband and Herbert Johnson makers details. Accompanied by a officers cap for the Grenadier Guards with bullion badge to the centre. Interior with cloth lining and cream sweatband. This cap shows some wear. (2 items)

WWII GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE (NAVY) COASTAL ARTILLERY STEEL COMBAT HELMET, good example of a M-40 pattern steel combat helmet which has a dark rough textured over paint finish which is typical of helmets worn by the gunners of the Kriegsmarine coastal artillery batteries in France. Helmet retains the original golden eagle decal which is about 80 – 85% present. Interior of the helmet retains the original brown leather liner which shows heavy service wear with one tongue damaged / absent. Shell appears to have a ‘EF-‘ size stamp but this is not clear, as is the batch number stamp. Overall a good combat worn Kriegsmarine helmet.

WWII GERMAN ARMY SINGLE DECAL M-42 STEEL COMBAT HELMET, good example retaining its dark combat paint finish to the shell. Helmet has single German army (heer) eagle decal to the side, which is approximately 80% present. Interior of the helmet has its original leather liner but in our opinion has been fitted with an excellent quality reproduction chinstrap. Shell is stamped ‘NS62’ and batch number ‘D264’. Good example overall.
