Accompanied by a Grimwades pottery cup with ‘Old Bill’ cartoon scene and underside with ‘Made by the girls of Staffordshire during the winter 1917/18 when the boys were in the trenches fighting for liberty & civilization’. No cracks or damage to the cross guard. Scabbard with some wear. Mint condition blade with all the cross graining remaining. Original leather washer still in place. Blade 10′.

Presentation Trophy of a Anti-Aircraft Gun and Medals Relating to Sergeant Smith ‘The Flying Bomb Victor’, a well detailed and engineered cast alloy model of a Royal Artillery anti-aircraft flak gun on rotating base, mounted to larger wooden base with engraved plaque, ‘AIR DEFENCE SOUTHERN ENGLAND SERGEANT SMITH THE FLYING BOMB VICTOR 1944-1945’. Accompanied by a chromed table lighter in the form of a anti-aircraft round, two postcard photographs including one showing Sergeant Smith seated and his WW2 War and Defence medals. See the next lot for a decorated wing of the V1 rocket which he shot down.

WW2 GERMAN PIONEER BATTALION NR 9 TRUMPET BANNER, fine black cloth body with heavy bullion barrel fringe, central section with Wehrmacht eagle in flat wire weave, with some oxidisation to the bullion on both the eagle and the oakleaves below. Reverse with PB and number 9 below to the centre of a wreath. Has four leather securing straps. Some oxidisation to the bullion but generally good example.

WW2 British Steel Combat Helmet of a Veteran from Dunkirk, standard WW2 British steel combat helmet which retains much of its original combat paint finish. Helmet is fitted with a 1939 dated liner system and webbing chinstrap. The helmet is accompanied by a framed set of WW2 campaign medals with a Dunkirk veterans medal and cap badge of the Royal Engineers.
