Pye was critical in designing and manufacturing radio and radar equipment and proximity fuses during WWII. No enamel damage; Richard Garrett Engineering Works of Leiston, Suffolk, WW2 National Service Pin No. 1225 (Thomas Fattorini, B’ham maker). No enamel damage; Raynard Nurses Bronze Badge, c1930-40s, 35mm high (maker: HW Miller Ltd.). Ellen Raynard founded this nursing service in 1868 recruited from poorer women who trained at London hospitals and who became known as the ‘Bible Nurses’ ministering as London’s only district nurses for eight decades, continuing throughout the Blitz.
