#274 – Rare WW1 British B5 Boots 1917 Dated (Лот: 12020)
Rare WW1 British B5 Boots 1917 Dated, These B5 boots are in exceptionally good condition. Good strong firm leather with good soles, complete with all the metal work and studs in which these boots were originally supplied with. These are a matched pair and clearly, beautifully marked to the inside sole ‘248’ & ‘1917’ to each left and right boot. Upon the ankle the hole punched style broad arrow appears on both. The wear and mild scuffing are more likely caused due to storage wear opposed to actual use. The leather sole bottoms look in almost unworn condition. The laces are a later addition. These, in our opinion will be very hard to improve on. A rare sought after piece of great war clothing.

WW1 British 08 Webbing Set, Bayonet and Helmet, Original set of 08 pattern webbing complete with 07 bayonet and entrenching tool. Various dates across the set can be seen, 1916 to the left ammo pouch, 1915 to the E-tool cover, 1917 to the water bottle cradle and 1918 to the small pack. The webbing is in good strong displayable condition. The bayonet itself has suffered recently from rusting but can be cleaned up. The pommel is stamped ‘3 SG’ for 3rd Scots Guards. The ammunition pouches have had several of their flaps repaired from other pouches used as doners. The helve holder is a reproduction. Complete with period steel, felt covered water bottle. The Helmet although missing its liner is of the post June 1917 type and retains the chin strap. The splotch camouflage looks period applied but probably of American origin.
