Imperial German Wurttemberg Artillery Regiment Nr29 (2nd Wurttemberg Field Artillery Regiment) Other Ranks Kugelhelm with Cloth Trench Cover, good example of a leather other ranks helmet with brass Wurttemberg other ranks helmet plate to the centre. Brass front trim, rear spine and circular spike base with plain dome rivets and removable artillery ball top. Other ranks reichs and state cockades supported by leather chinstrap. Interior of the helmet retains the original leather liner system. Remains of ink stamps visible but un-readable in the rear peak. Helmet is accompanied by an artillery pattern cloth trench cover with painted numerals ’29’ to the centre. Cover has three fixing clips to the front and two to the rear. Interior of the cover is ink stamped with makers mark and date 1914. The cover has faded and appears sun bleached. Late Gordon Anderson collection
