Manufactured by the Dresden-based Maker Herman Aurich and properly maker-marked with the maker initial ‘HA’.Overall in above average condition with most of its bronze finish perfectly intact. Mid-war solid zinc made Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Unmarked but safely attributed to the Lüdenscheid-based maker Steinhauer & Lück. Apart from minor traces of wear-related finish loss in very good condition. A nice example of a good quality zinc-made PAB. (cf. #79-1528 – Tank Assault Badge in Bronze ‘Wurster’ (Лот: 12686)
Solid Tombac/Buntmetall made Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Manufactured by the Markneukirchen-based maker Karl Wurster and maker marked with the maker’s early logo a ‘small w’. Wurster was the only maker to produce solid Buntmetall Combat awards over a longer period of time making these awards rare and very sought after by collectors. This early ‘die 1’ variant survives in very good condition with only minor traces of actual wear. (cf. The German Panzer Assault Badge of WW II, 2021, Philippe De Bock, pages 93-94)

We are looking at an unworn award that retains all of its original finish but sadly suffered surface damage due to bad storage. (cf. Mid-war solid zinc Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Manufactured by the Vienna-based maker List & Hertl and properly maker marked with the markes logo EWE. Sought after so-called ‘Vienna Design’ PAB by one of the more uncommon makers. Overall in close to mint condition with a perfectly preserved strong Bronze finish. (cf. Mid-war, solid zinc made Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Unmarked but safely attributed to the Stuttgart-based maker Frank & Reiff. The PAB retains a nice amount of its original Bronze finish but also shows some traces of wear and zinc oxidation. Otherwise no damage or repairs. (cf. Very late war solid zinc-made Panzer Assault Badge in Silver. Unmarked but attributed to the Lüdenscheid-based maker Steinhauer & Lück. The last effort by this maker to produce PAB’s. While detailing is still very good, quality/finish-wise these are but a shade of this maker’s early war production. Apart from heavy finish loss in factory-original condition. (cf. Mid-war solid zinc-made Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Unmarked but safely attributed to the Schwabisch-Gmünd-based maker Alois Rettenmaier. The PAB shows clear traces of wear and lost most of it fragile Bronze wash finish. Otherwise in factory original condition. (cf. #79-1536 – Tank Assault Badge in Bronze ‘Juncker’ (Лот: 12694)
Mid-war hollow zinc-made Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Unmarked but safely attributed to the Berlin-based maker C.E. Juncker. A remarkable example that broke in two and by the looks of it was crudely field repaired by its recipient. Apart from the wreath repair also some solder was used to re-attache the swastika to the panzer. A PAB that, if able to talk, for sure had some stories to tell. (cf. Mid-war Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Unmarked and commonly referred to as ‘Daisy’ PAB. Recent research brought forward Funcke & Brüninghaus as the most likely maker for these PAB’s. A rather commonly encountered variant but very difficult to find in such good condition as the example offered here. (cf.
