Imperial German War Veterans Association Standarte / Flag, impressive silk embroidered standarte with one side having beautifully embroidered large Prussian eagle enclosed in a oakleaf wreath with steel helmet and sword laid upon a Iron Cross to the centre of the national colours of Germany, embroidered floral decoration to the corners and ‘Krieger-Verei’ in gothic script above and ‘Wallersheim’ below the eagle respectively. Reverse side with George and the dragon to the centre with gothic script around. The flag has gold wire fringing to three sides and ring fittings to the other edge. Some wear and the dates have been cut from the obverse side. Measures 114 x 105cms approx (not including fringing)
