With a Belgian King Leopold II Commemorative Medal 18651905 and a miniature ribbon bar that also includes Kings South Africa Medal and 1914/15 Star ribbons, all loosely contained in a small, glazed display box.Records show medals are issued to Henry Cook (Q.S.A. has wrong initial) from Islington, London who attested for service on 31st July 1899 and embarked for South Africa on 4th June 1901. He was discharged on termination of his term of engagement on 30th July 1905. During the Great War, Henry Cook served with 32nd and 26th Battalions and was in France from 4th May 1916 to 3rd February 1919.Henry Cook is confirmed on the rolls for the Queens South Africa Medal with these 4 clasps and was awarded a pair of medals for the Great War (he is not entitled to the Kings South Africa Medal or either of the Great War Stars).
