Victorian 4th Administrative Battalion (3rd Lymington) Hampshire Rifle Volunteers NCO’s Glengarry Badge, blackened Victorian crowned oval strap with regimental details within and the centre with white metal number ‘3’ above Hampshire rose and scroll ‘HANTS’. Third Reich DLV / NSFK Flyers Knife Dagger by SMF, Solingen, good example with nickel silver fittings, retaining the blue leather covering to the grip and to the scabbard. Black enamel to the centre swastikas on the cross guard. The ends of the cross guard are stamped with a ‘K’ and a another stamp which is not clear. Attached to the scabbard is the short brown leather hanging strap, metal clip spring gone. Scabbard throat is stamped with the acceptance stamps for both the DLV and NSFK. Double edged blade with makers trademark to the reverse. Some wear to the blade but generally a good example. Blade 17 ½ cms, overall 33 ½ cms.

US CIVIL WAR PERIOD CONFEDERATE ARTILLERY KEPI, a red doeskin top w/ a brown w/ a brown doeskin base, rear is 3 ½’ tall & front is 2 ½’ tall & its diameter on top is 4 ¾’, its black patent leather visor extends just under 1 ½’, lacks chin-strap but has Artillery eagle side-buttons, the lining is a polished brown cotton, its brown leather sweatband is 1 ¼’ wide, on front is a ½’ company letter ‘Q’ in brass on burlap, Overall G++

Great War 1914-15 Star Medal Trio to the Royal Navy, 1914-15 Star medal, ‘K3704 E.E. MARSH STO.1 R.N.’, British War and Victory medals, ‘K3704 E.E. MARSH S.P.O. R.N.’ dwin Ernest Marsh was born in Camberwell on 18th December 1890. He commenced his service in the Royal Navy on 26th September 1909 serving until he was discharged to pension on 25th July 1931. He served on H.M.S. Galatea for the whole of the Great War including at the Battle of Jutland. He also served during the Second World War having rejoined on 10th June 1940. There is no record of any Long Service medal being issued.

Third Reich NSFK Flyers Knife Dagger by F&A Helbig, good example with aluminium fittings and blue leather covering to the grip and scabbard. Black enamel to the central swastikas. One screw missing from the top scabbard and lower scabbard fittings, lower fitting also with a small crack to the edge. Scabbard throat stamped with the NSFK emblem. Double edged blade with makers trademark to the reverse. Some staining to the blade. The blade measures 17 ½ cms, overall 35 ½ cms.

US CIVIL WAR PERIOD UNION OFFICERS KEPI, blue doeskin, rear i4′ tall & front is 2 ¾’ tall & its diameter of its top is 5′, a black patent leather visor which extend 1 ½’ w/ matching chin-strap and eagle side-buttons, on front is a 2′ wide gold bullion wreath w/ unit numbers ’26’ in silver bullion (some damage) on black velour, a brown polished cotton lining along w/ a 1 ½’ wide brown leather sweatband which has been recently resewn as is the visor, G+

Great War 1914-15 Star Medal Trio and Silver War Badge to a Recipient Who Served in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment, 1914-15 Star medal, British War and Victory medals, ‘2189 PTE. E. HAWKES. NOTTS. & DERBY. R.’ with Silver War Badge, reverse numbered ‘B310645’ also crudely engraved ‘E. HAWKES DERBY’. rnest Hawkes served with 7th (Robin Hood) Battalion landing in France on 28th February 1915. He later transferred to the Royal Garrison Artillery (#312717) serving with the West Riding Heavy Battery. He was discharged being no longer fit for service on 5th March 1919 and was issued with Silver War Badge B310645.

Victorian 3rd Volunteer Battalion Hampshire Regiment Officers Home Service Helmet Plate, white metal eight pointed star universal backing plate with Victorian crown replacing top point, laurel spray with garter strap enclosing silvered Hampshire tiger within brass laurel wreath on black velvet backing. Three part lower gilt scrolls with regimental details and scroll with battalion details, number ‘3’ appears to have been overstruck. Three lug fittings to the reverse of the plate.
