WW2 German Army Officers Dagger with Hanging Straps by Ernst Pack & Sohne Waffenfabrik, Solingen, good example of a late war period dress dagger with white celluloid grip. Standard pommel top and army eagle cross guard. Housed in its original scabbard. Attached to the scabbard is a pair of worn deluxe pattern officers velvet backed brocade dress hangers. Double edged plain blade with makers trademark to the reverse. The blade 25cms, overall 39 ½ cms.

Rare Victorian 79th Highlanders Home Service Helmet Plate 1878-81,fine example of a gilt metal officers helmet plate with Victorian crown replacing top point of the star backing plate, garter strap, centre with blue felt having silvered crowned thistle, set upon the garter strap is silvered ’79’. Reverse of the plate has three lug fittings. Overall excellent example with much of the original finish remaining. The 79th Highlanders became the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders after 1881. This very short lived helmet plate is extremely rare to find.

Unusual Late War German Army Officers Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn with Etched Dedication, very interesting late war produced / assembled army officers dress dagger with a very unusual flat top pommel. White / cream celluloid grip and army eagle cross guard. Housed in the original scabbard with two hanging rings. Fine double edged blade which is etched ‘für ehr und pflicht bis herz und klinge bricht’ (for honor and duty until heart and blade break). Reverse of the blade with Carl Eickhorn, Solingen makers trademark. Blade 25cms, overall 38 ½ cms. An interesting example.

Edward VII Kings South Africa Medal to a Recipient in the Royal Army Medical Corps who Served from the 1898 Sudan Campaign Through to the First World War, Kings South Africa medal with 2 clasps, South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902, ‘10830 CORPL: A. DAVIDSON. R.A.M.C.’ edal and both clasps confirmed on the medal roll, also entitled to the Queens South Africa medal with 3 clasps and the Khedive’s Sudan medal 1896-1908 with the Khartoum clasp. In the Great War he served in France from 23rd August 1914 and was commissioned on 20th August 1916.
